Hi all, I've just surfed around and found another SuperTux :-) from Charles Goodwin. It seems that it's a died project. Does anyone know something about it ? |

Hi there, I couldn't vote for the "billk.png" since I receive all the messages in plain/text digest mode and couldn't manage to get it out. I'll check for it in the CVS then :-D |

On one hand, "CD" (IMHO) is an easier word for kids because nowadays, kids = are=20 born with things like that. And you won't have to explain to them what a=20 "distro" is. On the other hand, the word "distro" may give you an occasion to talk to yo= ur=20 little kids about GNU/Linux, and of course about your favorite "distros" :-D I wonder how they called the "coins" in NES Mario ... I played it soooo lon= g=20 time ago ^^ |

Ricardo, would you please merge your editor with the latest CVS and send a patch against the CVS as soon as possible? I would like to include it into the secret *fluster"Chr.-Release". ;) It is not important how far the development has gone! I'll see it anyway. ;) Greetz... Hi all, It would be great to receive some new .mod or .it files, which we can release under the GPL. Maybe we can take them from a Open/Free music archive in the internet? Last but not least, which programs allow me to produce such music files? Greetz... Tobias Gläßer -- |

But I don't know how to reproduce it. :( I'm not even sure, if it is related to a incomplete level. If you can reproduce it, I would glad to receive your backtrace. I've never been happy with the laptop graphic. Since the 'drone' bad-guys (like mushroom gumbas in Super Mario Bros) are little BSOD'd monitors, I figured that laptops would be good as the stompable-and-kickable enemies -- which are turtles in the original SMB. I think the current laptop graphic sucks, though. (I'm proud of the BSODs, though, so don't change them!) Anyone here want to take a crack at making better looking laptops? (THey don't have to be blue-green, either... just easier to see... maybe drawn at more of angle... they need to look solid, and not something you might trip over ;) ) -bill! bi...@ne... Got kids? This happens when the gameloop tries to load an incorrect level.dat. For eg. the level3.dat is not complete yet. In this case the program does a Segmentation Fault, it's not that bad but I think we should be prepared for such a situation. |

Hmm, I have just looked at the "sound.h" and "sound.c" today. And I discover that there'r still some of these functions in "gameloop.c": int Mix_PlayingMusic(); void Mix_HaltMusic(); int Mix_PlayMusic(); void Mix_FreeMusic(); void Mix_FreeChunk(); int Mix_OpenAudio(int a, int b, int c, int d); They must not exist anywhere else but in "sound.c" only ! Nobody else should know about the SDL_Mixer exept the sound.c. The following functions (from sound.h) must be used instead of those above. Mix_Chunk * load_sound(char * file); void play_sound(Mix_Chunk * snd); Mix_Music * load_song(char * file); int playing_music(void); int halt_music(void); int play_music(Mix_Music*music, int loops); void free_music(Mix_Music*music); void free_chunk(Mix_Chunk*chunk); int open_audio(int a, int b, int c, int d); Added: Primilary DEBUG_MSG macro Modifed Makefile for supporting the -DDEBUG Changes: playsound() replaced by play_sound(): I tried to keep everything uniform :-D gameloop.c exit immediately if it can not open a level file.
