I think setting up a Discord community could help. It could be a lot more accessible than the slightly scattered-ness (for me that is 😅) of SD’s chat rooms and forums. For example, the YsFlight community - which is vaguely the same size as SD - have an active Discord where people can just yap and share stuff they’ve been working on, while still having a full forum alongside it. Having talking, bug reporting, and new ideas all under one roof sounds pretty good to me, and honestly? I’m too young to...

would have thought the "core"-cars (e.g. the official carsets) should kept in the repo for maintenance, keeping them updated (or at least have tickets on whats needed) and otherwise keep track of them. I agree. This is what we already do with most cars, but sometimes I uploaded them to the file server directly as https://forge.a-lec.org is often being DDoS'd by aggressive AI scrapers. I wish they can fix that situation soon - see https://forge.a-lec.org/cominfra/forge/issues/33 for further reference....

while i was aware that you were adding the capabilty for generating drivers, i thought you kept the possiblity of having preset car/driver combinations with a fixed livery bound to it around (for preset championships etc.) This is still supported: manually crafted drivers can be installed into the user config directory (i.e., $HOME/.speed-dreams-2 on Unix-like systems), inside the drivers/ directory (e.g.: $HOME/.speed-dreams-2/drivers/shadow/). Similarly to how drivers were listed on the SVN repository,...

The NB/E92 variation did not make the cut for the same reason the JGT Aidoru in GT1/GT500/GTC also did not: the interior texture uses assets from Papyrus' NASCAR racing games, which are "abandonware" but not legally, truly free. The steering wheel is the most obvious offender here in both cases.

  • Xavier Del Campo Xavier Del Campo posted a comment on discussion Development

That is because, exceptionally, the sc-deckard-conejo was uploaded directly to our file server, as opposed to most of the other cars and tracks, that were instead automatically uploaded to the forge with the help of a shell script. Other cars like the sc-carson-96 and the sc-murasama-nsx were uploaded likewise.

Don't think that someone of the Photographers would do a report on this because that are no artistic photos and so they are not specialy protected, aspecialy because these are snipets of pictures but anyway I look for a way to alienate them by painting or what else. Hi @gunny, excellent work as always! I have a few questions/suggestions: The .acc file should be renamed from snow-olsen.acc to Snow-Olsen.acc. Or, maybe better, use lowercase names for all files to avoid confusion. Could you please add the following line to the Header section in Snow-Olsen.xml? It will disable the slowdown and wall hit penalties as we already do for other dirt tracks. <attstr name="disabled penalties" val="slowdown;wallhittimeinvalidate" /> What is the source for dt4-people1.png?...

Hi! Here's a new track for you. I think I've played to much AC-Rally 0.2 so I rememberd the snow test track of Project Cars 2 and thought it would be nice to have a snow drifting track like these. This track is a fantasy track located in Sweden with snow and ice. Hope you enjoy best wishes

Hi @wec-00 , @harunasan had made setup improvements before this release, but unfortunately the XML was based on the one available from https://github.com/longtomjr/sdcars/tree/master/cars/rs1-kafka-color , and diverged significantly from the one distributed above. So, I took the effort to manually patch her contributions to https://forge.a-lec.org/speed-dreams/rs1-kafka-color as cleanly as possible. You might want to consider them for next releases. Best regards, Xavi

@wec-00 thanks for the great work! I have pushed the update to official assets database, so it can be downloaded in-game.

Since apparently there was no solution for the rally cars, i have replaced the parts taken from them the Kafka RS1 by remaking the interieur and using chads animated driver model
