Hi, it seems that off lower works perfectly fine when Reduce is launched normally. However, I am launching the Reduce process from the Julia language with redcsl -w, and when I feed it the command off lower I get the response back Declare SYMBOLIC operator ? (Y or N). Is there any way this can be evaluated correctly?

What's different about running it as a separate process and feeding the input?

A similar issue I have is with the normform package. When Reduce is launched regularly, the package works fine, but when I launch it via my Julia process and send commands from the normform package, such as jordan for a matrix I get an empty result back, i.e. nothing is returned.

I wish I knew more about why this is happening and what is the difference between launching Reduce from the terminal and communicating with it from another process, because there seem to be some differences with the two, as illustrated by these two exmaples / bugs.

Any help would be appreciated,

Regards,
