#173 Abnormal number of relinkings on macOS

Hi Arthur,
when compiling r6982 CSL Reduce on macOS (both X86-64 Big Sur 11.7.10 and Apple M1 Sequoia 15.3.1) I get

11 occurrencies of Relinking csl
22 occurrencies of Relinking bootstrapreduce
11 occurrencies of Relinking reduce

I don't know at which revision this behaviour started. Up to, at least, r6954 there was only one relinkig for each one of tho three apps. Is it a normal behaviour?

That is not just macOSX and I am trying to debug it right now. If you wait
long enough it does complete!

At present I really do not understand how that can arise!

that looked for a file that wa snot there rather than the one that could
be
