Support Requests item #788808, was opened at 2003-08-14 11:32 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538275&aid=788808&group_id=73598 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Dan Yocum (yocum) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: increase field element size Initial Comment: 255 characters for a pull-down list is too few. I've increased mine to 8191, and may go higher. This is in class/ListingElement.php: $tags["FIELD_ELEMENTS"] = PHPWS_Core::formTextField("ELEMENT_field_elements", $this->_field_elements,35,8191); Cheers, Dan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538275&aid=788808&group_id=73598 |

Clicking on the link under the "Site Content" tab gives this: You are not an active agent. Please contact the website administrator to change this. You have no classes set up in the system. You must have at least one class. Please ask the phpwsListings manager to add one through the "Create Class" interface. I'd expect that. But clicking on 'Manage Agents' comes back with a blank page. Feature Requests item #769977, was opened at 2003-07-12 02:31 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538277&aid=769977&group_id=73598 Category: Interface Improvements Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Shaun Murray (singletrack) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Expanded Categories/Shopping Sites Initial Comment: Don suggested I RFE'd an email I sent him earlier about expanding the remit of phpwsListings in a more shop style.... I'm doing a shopping cart/payment gateway mod at the moment and phpwsListing is on the face of it, nearly good enough to use as a shop mod provided I add on a payment method. Where there is a 'Mortgage calculator' plugin now, I add in an 'add to cart' button. Simple enough. The one thing I'd like to see though is an expanded way of categorizing items. As an example, say I'm a department store like http:// www.johnlewis.com I sell clothes, bedding, tools, crockery... etc. At the moment, phpwslistings has 'Listing class' so I could define a class for t-shirts (which come in S, M, L, XL) and ties (just the one size) and the forms would be just fine. These are both in the clothing department so it would be also useful to classify them as 'clothes'. Either you need to provide a mechanism of grouping listing classes or perhaps use fatcat to categorize them. That'd also tie in nicely with the rest of phpwebsite and offer multiple levels of categories. Once you've added categories, it opens up another bunch of possibilities like a lead listing or 'main featured listing' for that category. You could also do random listings within the category too. The other feature there would be 'Best Sellers' if I get the cart software up to scratch although perhaps 'Most Viewed' would also be nice for non-shop sites. 'Latest listings' might be good too. There's a whole bunch of blocks there. ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538277&aid=769977&group_id=73598 |

For parts of Europe, it would also be useful to configure the thousands seperator - some countries use a comma instead of a decimal point also. And lastly the date format needs to be configurable. This could also possibly be something that phpwebsite could supply to the module somehow so that module writers don't have to rewrite this each time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538277&aid=769246&group_id=73598 |

The site URL is that of the branch but the path after is the location of the php file on the hub and images such as the print icon are expecting the hub's path. eg. http://www.yourbranchsite.com/mod/phpwslistings/img/ icon_print.png. instead of http://www.yourhubsite.com/mod/phpwslistings/img/ icon_print.png ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538274&aid=769241&group_id=73598 |

I had this error on v0.2.0 and 0.3.0. I think it may be due to the number a users the site has. I think the site has 50 users or so but only 3 are set up as agents. I noticed this problem when trying to add another agent today. I was running 0.2.0 so i decided to upgrade. That didn't help. The number of users is higher on the site now than when I first started using your module. As I couldn't find any information on how to upgrade, I simply uploaded 0.3.0 and rename the original mod/phpwslistings folder to something else (in case I want it back), and rename the new fold to mod/phpwslistings. In my application I need to manage Buyers data. For example: Name, Email, Budget, ObjectLookingFor, AreaLookingFor, Found etc. Would be great if you could build the ability to manage Buyers data. Many thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=538277&aid=744704&group_id=73598 |

"Is it possible with the tabbed layout and the room we will be gaining in the interface, to have phpwsListings write the name of the classes to the web page and be a hyperlink?" Yes, and I think that is a good idea Mike. I am also going to give the ability to manage the listings by class as well. Before I do any serious development on this, I will do a write up and submit it to the dev list so that everyone can give feedback. I would like it to be done well the first time. Don and I discussed the wording of the admin interface as well today. We both agreed that phpwsListings as a whole would benefit from more global wording. Currently the wording is geared toward realestate more than anything. So there are a lot of things to take into consideration before implementing this. Wendall |
