#98 Problem win10 and soundblaster Z after unistall
Hello, every time i install a fresh win version on my both pc apo works perfect.
When i put peace it work perfect at both computers. When i remove peace, then in both computers i can not make apo play.
And by play i mean to hear the changes i make. I try to read the old tickets, i try some tricks from internet, i got nowhere. Mainly cause i do not get the options when i click troubleshooting. same thing i notice on other people on tickets too.
Every time i open apo (configurator) i get the message to add a source (i already did before restart) and again it asks me to restart and again the same happen all over.
I do not know what to do atm. I can not believe that my only solution is a fresh windows instal again.
My Sound Card is Soundblaster Z. Any help is more than welcome
I can't offer a solution but I can help you to get the troubleshooting options: Check the checkbox at the left of the Soundblaster Z speakers device and then select the connector name next to this checkbox by clicking on it (usually this name is 'speakers'). It turns blue. Now the troubleshooting options become visible by checking the Troubleshooting checkbox.
It is not turning blue in my option. I do not get nothing when i click on any source and on troubleshooting checkbox. Absolutly nothing.
I have tried everything i knew, nothing worked. If its not fixxed soon i will have to make a fresh windows install and start all over, obiously with out the Apo. Very good aplication but these problems are very serious, hope it get fixxed.

My knowledge of the Configurator doesn't reach this far that I can explain what you're experiencing. It seems that Equalizer APO can't be installed properly. Are both computers have the same audio devices?
You might try an earlier version of Equalizer APO.
Nope, only the windows are the same. WIN10. The other computer has onboard sound card and its in a secondery space. ASUS 6PT Deluxe motherboard if it counts.
Where can i find the earlier version of APO? You really think there is a chance to do something that move? Cause today i realize that none other program as addon can play also. Before was playing correctly. Only the soundblazer z software is working atm, nothing else.
100% must be something with the registries with the sound.

Under the Files tab of this Equalizer APO site you'll find all versions.
I really don't understand what's going on. Usually when Equalizer APO doesn't work on an audio device it needs some effort like playing around with the troubleshooting options to get it going on that particular device. But if I understand your issue correctly, it does work on a fresh Windows installation and then stops working. As Equalizer APO reroutes some registry keys to do its job, it's only broken again at a new audio driver installation or a Windows update. For instance, installing Equalizer APO first and then the Soundblaster Z software after it, will stop Equalizer APO from working because its rerouting is undone by the Soundblaster software.
Your logic seems legit, but it does not work this way to me, at both situations. Now i am preparing to put windows install again and solve the problem. Maybe its a windows bug, maybe its an apo bug, i do not know, all i know is the spesific steps i took to both my pc.
And i have already put fresh windows again to my main pc 2 months ago for the same reason.. So, 3 times to do the same things are way too much for me. Any way ty for your responce. Pitty nothing could help me
