When Equalizer APO isn't working on a mic then a few things can be the cause. The first thing is to know what app the mic is used on. For instance, Discord usually is a problem. To solve this you should try all settings of the Discord settings called Audio subsystem. Some have it on "Automatice", others on "Legacy".
Another thing when the above isn't working is to uncheck all exclusive mode check boxes for the mic on its Windows Sound Panel. It could be that the recording/streaming app uses the mic in exclusive mode. Unfortunately that bypasses any APO (Audio Processing Object = sound enhancement) like Equalizer APO.
Also, other "Install as" settings of the Troubleshooting options for the mic in the Device Selector / Configurator could tried. But that's the last thing to do. But when using Discord this must be tried together as the Audio subsystem might influence the chosen APO of the "Install as" although I'm not sure of this.
