#214 Configuration Editor says "restart required", but restarting "Windows Audio" is enough.

Requested Change: After a configuration update due to device changes offer to restart the Windows-Audio Service instead of asking for a reboot,
Due to weirdness in my configuration (well, TV as monitor, via HDMI) the "Output device" appears quite often as "new device", which means Equalizer APO is not installed on that device. That is fine, open Configuration Editor, it asks whether it should update the config. That is fine.
However: It asks for as reboot. That is NOT needed, restarting the Windows-Audio Service (aka "Audiosrv") is enough!
My OS is Windows 11, but I suspect that would be the same for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7 where Microsoft introduced the Audioserv service.

Yes, usually it is. But there have been some posts here on this forum saying that on Windows 11 restarting the audio service doesn't always seem to work. To avoid this issue, in the Peace equalizer I not only stop "audiosrv" but also "audioEndpointBuilder". After starting "audiosrv" "audioEndpointBuilder" is automatically started also. So I guess this should be included in the implementation you're requesting. However, the developer isn't very active so your request won't be implemented any time soon.
