I have already made a Thread on the Peace forum about this issue, but it seems my problem in particular fits in here better. After talking to Peter Verbeek (Creator of the Peace GUI) about my issue, it seems like the problem lies with Equalizer APO rather than Peace.

To shortly summarize the conversation I had with Peter, I got Equalizer APO and Peace to combat a similar issue in the past, where my overall Windows volume was always so high that I needed to keep my volume at 15 to 20 percent to be bearable. However after a windows update Peace always selected a wrong duplicate of my headphones that didn't work with the Pre-Amplify meter. After uninstalling and reinstalling all my audio drivers I found that Peace shows my headphones and the audio drivers in the devices list, even though equalizer APO wasn't configurated to them. That's where the duplicates come from. Still my issue remains, that the duplicates exist and that I still have to manually change the device in the list to the one that has Equalizer APO installed.

For more details and more specific context, here is the link to the original forum post in the Peace Equalizer forum:https://sourceforge.net/p/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/discussion/general/thread/5ea0708c2c/?limit=25#8d0c

Thank you in advance for any help regarding this issue! I'm looking forward to any replies.

You probably should delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EqualizerAPO\Child APOs from the registry and use the Configurator.exe to newly configure your headset. The registry path will then contain only one sub element.

when I try to open the configurator it doesn't show anything except an error message saying that it could not find said file. When I finally do get it to open there is nothing there. It's all empty. Even the registry shows nothing.

What I can see in the original thread is that the duplicate entry at the bottom of the device list has an o instead of the ö in Kopfhörer. So maybe there is an issue with umlauts in Peace GUI. Maybe you could attach the config file that Peace generates for Equalizer APO when the wrong and when the right headphone device is selected.

By the way, it's not unusual to have multiple devices called "NVIDIA Output", so I don't think that there's anything wrong with those.
