How to apply changes I make

I just installed Equalizer APO, and I'm not entirely sure how to apply any changes I make. My devices are set to the windows default, which are used by all other programs, so I know that they're the correct ones.

I can make whatever changes I want to make in the Configuration Editor, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to apply those changes to my system. How do I do that?

Also, a side question: How do I set a particular configuration .txt file to be the one that Equalizer APO uses?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're asking but I'll explain how Equalizer APO works. As Equalizer APO is an Audio Processing Object (APO) it installs itself in the audio stream of an audio device (output or input device). In other words, after installing Equalizer APO on a device you simply use the Configuration Editor to do things on the audio, mainly equalization by using filters. Everything you do will be directly applied to the audio thus hearable. You don't have to apply anything.

However, if you don't notice any audio changes then first some steps have to be taken to get Equalizer APO going on that specific device. The Configurator, which also is shown after you've installed Equalizer APO, has some troubleshoot options which can be tried when Equalizer APO isn't working on a device, even after checking its checkbox (and restart of your computer).

So the question is, do you hear the changes on the audio whilst using the Configuration Editor?
