For some odd reason, Equalizer APO stopped updating the sound. When ever I change any setting, the sound never updates. I've restarted to no avail. I'm stuck with the last EQ settings while the gui doesn't seeam to change anything.

So, Equalizer APO is still working (has an effect on your sound), but you just can't change its configuration using the Configuration Editor? Could you try manually changing the file C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\config.txt with a text editor?

If you're using Windows 10 the lastest build disables Equalizer APO somehow. I've deinstalled Equalizer APO and installed it again (version 1.1.1). And by enabling the various devices in the Configurator I got it working again.

I'm not so sure that this is the reason as the original poster says that E-APO is still using the last EQ settings. But could you please tell me the exact version of Windows 10 you are using? (You can use the command winver to find out)

You're probably right.
Anyway, I had a post yesterday from someone who was saying that Peace went dead after the lastest Windows 10 update. So I began to check my son's Windows 10 computer (version 1511 build 10586.164). Somehow Equalizer APO wasn't any longer installed on his speaker device. After installing with the configurator and rebooting, it still didn't work. Somehow Equalizer APO (0.92) wasn't working any longer. I don't know why. Affter installing Equalizer APO version 1.1.1 everything is working fine again.
I'm not sure what's it all about. I was thinking that Rhett could experience the same issue.

Probably a Windows update "broke" Equalizer APO. Usually by starting its Configurator things get repaired. But lately in updates Microsoft has reverted to Windows Vista LFX/GFX APO technique for both Windows 10 and 11. So you might try the following troubleshooting options in this order:
Try LFX/GFX
Try SFX/EFX then SFX/MFX
Try unchecking "Use original APO" checkboxes
If you're not familiar how to acces the troubleshooting options for an audio device:
In the Configurator click on the device name in the left connector column. It should turn white on light blue.
Check the Troubleshooting checkbox.
Set an option as said above.
Restart to try this changed option.
