Hello.
I am trying to get EQ APO to work with a SMLS D100 DAC/AMP.
It fails at the moment of selecting the device. (See attached screenshot)

I tried to find a log output to no vail.

Any ideas?

System:
Windows 11 25H2 Build 26200.9445
Latest drivers for the USB DAC: XMOS v6.0.0.17477
Latest, EqualizerAPO v1.4.2.

Edit:

Solution to this particular issue.
DO NOT Install EQAPO in a folder other than its default.
C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO

I'm not sure what this "Access denied" message is coming from. It may be that the Device Selector hasn't access to the Windows registry. Have you tried to start up this app with administrator rights (right click menu -> Run as administrator)? If this isn't working perhaps some overactive anti-malware/firewall app is preventing the Device Selector to access or write to the Windows registry.

I tried to find a log output to no vail.

For all I know the Device Selector hasn't a log.

Yes, of course, Running as administrator was the first thing I did.
The only antivirus software my PC runs is Defender and the Windows firewall.
I will try to disable it just in case. But, no errors were given by it.

This is embarassing.
So, I uninstalled it and then re-installed it.
I failed to mention that the program was installed at C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Apps\EQAPO
Thinking that this way, I would avoid any and all pemirssions problems of installing in Program Files.
Seems that's not it with this.
Now, it installed at the default location and working without an issue.

  Don't disable Windows Defender and firewall. They shouldn't be an issue.
  
  You did right by installing Equalizer APO in c:\program files\equalizerapo. Other folder posses an issue for the apps. I don't know why.

    When yotu said access to the registry, even though not really related, it gave me the clue I was looking for.
