so back then i put on a funny pitch shifter on my voice for the funny and then i turned it off as usual, and then suddenly, the voice filter came back, so i uninstalled equalizer apo, peace and everything, and it still doesnt work. the pitch shifter is there. i tried everything, setting the registry, reinstalling the audio driver, did the "set settings to 0 and then reinstalling again" still doesnt work. im using c-media pci driver..

    i really need help, thanks.....

This pitch shifter can be an APO (Audio Processing Object) which isn't uninstalled properly (I'm guessing that you have used the uninstaller of this pitch shifter). If so, try to uninstall this APO from within the Device Manager of Windows. It has a list of installed APO's. If this pitch shifter is an actual (virtual) Windows audio device then this can be also uninstalled in the Device Manager.

I looked in the device manager, it doesn't seem to be there. or i can't find it.. I used ReaJs in reaplugs for this.

So you have used the ReaJS plugin to alter your voice? And have you loaded this plugin in the Configuration Editor of Equalizer APO?

And did you use the Equalizer APO uninstaller? This voice pitcher can only be active when the audio engine of Equalizer APO is present. So is the engine file EqualizerAPO.dll still in the c:\program files\equalizerapo folder?

If Equalizer APO can't no longer be installed on your mic no sound effect by Equalizer APO could be possible including the ReaJS plugin. And you could uninstall the Rea plugins from your PC and remove any plugin present in c:\program files\equalizerapo\vstplugins

Also, is the config.txt file empty or at least doesn't have any VST plugin commands? This file is read by the audio engine of Equalizer APO and can be found in c:\program files\equalizerapo\config

the entire folder of eqapo is gone once i uninstalled it, so there should be none of those, and i also made sure to uninstall and removed everything related to reajs too (or as far as i know, i went in every VST and VST3 and CLAP folder I know exists and make sure its all purged)

So we must conclude that ReaJS isn't doing the sound changing. The question is what does.

                        I'll look up if there's a way i can reset audiodg.exe

To ensure that any non-signed piece of software (APO like Equalizer APO) is able to do its thing you can manually check and alter the DisableProtectedAudioDG key value to 0 of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Audio registry key. Are you familiar how to access and change the Windows registry? In principle the uninstaller of Equalizer APO should do this, I think, but I don't exactly know what this uninstaller does.

I changed it, and also i tried to reset it in services.msc in Windows Audio and Audio endpoint too but it still stays the same, the weirdest thing that sometimes that just Wouldn't happen. sometimes my mic gets randomly normal, and then a day later i opened my pc again and the pitch shifter is back...

That's so weird. Perhaps it's a mismatch between sample rates as this may shift the pitch. But I've never heard of such an issue.

I'm sure you have checked this already but does the mic came with its own software including effects? Or do you use a streaming app with effects?

it does but its like, super barebones and old. here is the image

for streaming app no, the only thing that is modifying the audio that i know is eqapo peace and that's all

Although not shown in your screenshot the PCI 3D Audio Configuration app has besides an Effects tab a Karaoke/Magic Voice tab according to the manual (which I've attached). Amongst others, it has some key shifting but isn't on the mic input so that can't be it, can it? I also wonder if some effect on its Effect tab is causing the problem. Although, instead of trying things you might uninstall it and see what happens.

After the Device Selector did its testing and altering accordingly it says every was successful. So there isn't an error in the installation, well, according to the Device Selector. Btw. I don't like what the developer did. As you, others are confused about the given (error) messages. And like you, others think there's an error where in fact it's all okay which is shown by the green dots at the devices.
