Hi there, trying to get this to work on an Arctis 7 headset. The headset comes with two modes which show up under playback devices - Arctis 7 Chat, and Arctis 7 Game. I'm also trying to use PEACE.

The EQ works for all audio devices EXCEPT Arctis 7 Game, which is the one I installed it for.

Troubleshooting steps I've done so far:

    • Updated all audio drivers
    • Reinstalled Equalizer APO and PEACE
    • Box for "disable audio enhancements" unchecked
    • Checked registry to make sure audio enhancements were possible

At this point I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do next. If I change the eq settings for the Arctis 7 Chat mode, and switch the headset to that mode (and set it as default audio device), the EQ settings do take effect. However, if I do the same for the Game mode, nothing happens.

I would really love some help if anyone knows what could be happening here. Thanks guys

There are few things you can do. Some SteelSeries users have reported by uninstalling the SteelSeries software Equalizer APO starts working (after a computer restart). Because the standard Windows 10 software replaces the SteelSeries one Equalizer APO has the default to work with and usually works okay.

Another thing you can try is using the troubleshooting options of the Equalizer APO Configurator (as shown in attached image). Probably the Arctis 7 Game device (software) is working with some enhancements. Or isn't working according to default standards. After installing (activating) Equalizer APO on the Arctis 7 Game device (and a restart), you can click on it and set various troubleshooting options to get Equalizer APO going on that device.

I also experience the same issue with my Arctis 7 headset only with the Game device, and I saw another user through a search here that also experience this issue as well.
    Nothing has helped fixing this.
What's interesting is that it's not only Equalizer APO that doesn't work with this device, but no enhancements at all aside from the ones within SteelSeries own software works - none of the Windows enhancements available in the device settings work.
Hopefully if this is an issue on the Windows side, it maybe gets patched on the Oct 10th major update, but if not I don't know what to do...
For now I'll reach out to SteelSeries support and report that multiple people experience this issue.

Same issue here with the arctis 7. My probleme was solved by uninstalling the SteelSeries software. After a quick windows reboot APO is working perfectly, thanks Peter Verbeek !
