Thanks for reporting this. I don't think the developer of Equalizer APO can do anything about these false positives. For building a good reputation one needs to purchase a software certificate. Unfortunately this is expensive.

Windows doesn't report malware. At starting the installer of Equalizer APO it reports that it doesn't know about the app and/or publisher. As a consequence it asks if you really want to run the installer.

That's not a malware notification. This popups with every unsigned App Windows doesn't recognize. Malwares trigger Windows Defender Virus Notifications. As long as you did not get a Virus Notification from your Windows Defender (usually turning into a red "X" on the Defender icon in the task bar), then it is not considered a Virus.

While the VirusTotal results seem false positive.
