Little blue circle spins for a second, then nothing. Looking in Task Manager I see the .exe appear for a second and then vanish. Tried un/reinstalling, running as admin, doesn't work. It worked yesterday until I "updated" my bluetooth driver, which broke a lot of shit, and I had to install the old one again. Sometimes I hate computers.
DELL Latitude E6430
Win10 Pro build 19042.804
EDIT: Removed every Windows Security setting I could think of, and added all possible exceptions to editor.exe. No dice.

Do you have a firewall and/or antivirus program running? Such programs can prevent the Configurator and Configuration Editor to access or write to the registry. There are posts here on this forum about this and about wrong/empty registry keys which could crash or prevent starting the Configurator and Configuration Editor. So was this your first installation of Equalizer APO?

Nothing besides whatever comes with Win10 Pro. It's a fresh OS install from just this week.
No, not the first install. It was working previously, but I updated my bluetooth drivers to fix some problems. (Which broke it completely, unfortunately.) When I finally found and reinstalled the old drivers, Equalizer APO wouldn't start anymore. I tried reinstalling it several times, in different directories, running as admin, no dice. It just won't launch.

That it has worked before is useful info. Updating an audio driver will overwrite the rerouting the Configurator made for routing the audio stream through Equalizer APO's audio engine. But this should quite easily be repaired by reinstalling Equalizer APO.
Anyway, looking at some old posts of this forum it might be a registry fault. To be extra thorough do the following.
Uninstall Equalizer APO and restart your computer
Chheck the registry for the Equalizer APO software entry "hkey_local_machine\software\equalizerapo". If it exists, delete it and just to be sure restart your computer.
Of course the folder "program files" shouldn't contain a subfolder "equalizerapo". If so delete it.
Now uninstall the audio drivers and restart your computer so Windows installs them again.
Perhaps install the downloaded bluetooth drivers.
Install Equalizer APO and proceed as usual.

If it only is the Configuration Editor then it would be the known bug for which I've made a bug removal tool. This bug hasn't been fixed for years now. But if the Configurator crashes then that must be some app preventing it accessing/writing the Windows registry or accessing/writing some folder, for instance the program folder of Equalizer APO. But as you're already experienced the exact cause can be difficult to pinpoint. And it may start working for one of the next Windows updates. That has happened quite often.

I forgot to mention one other cause: an audio device driver which isn't behaving correctly. This is usually a Bluetooth or USB driver. At least try opening the Configurator by switching it/them off or deleting it/them, just to see if the Configurator doesn't crash.
