[1.4.2] After Win10 updated, EqualizerAPO will not launch

Hi. Yesterday I updated Windows, including .NET framework and some various drivers, and when my PC finally got done updating and restarting, I noticed my audio sounded wrong. I tried to open EqualizerAPO's Configuration Editor, and although I saw the blue "loading" circle next to my cursor for a moment, nothing happened. Running in Administrator mode did the same thing. I tried running the Device Selector and got the same results as well.
I looked online and saw that a couple people had similar problems several years ago, and I followed the tips to fully uninstall EAPO (including the registry backups), reboot, re-install EAPO, and reboot again...but no luck. I don't have a log file in AppData\Local\Temp either.
I am at an impasse :/
If both the Device Selector and Configuration Editor aren't starting it's about them crashing. Usually this is caused by some left-over audio device(s) of which both apps try to get to by reading its/their Windows registry keys. But this reading fails crashing these apps. These "left-over" devices should have been deleted at installing new audio device drivers. Sometimes they aren't. Why I don't know and the developer of Equalizer APO probably doesn't know either as it's a Windows thing.
Although my Equalizer APO issues resolver won't fix the problem for this case, you might use it to detect this issue. It also gives some hints how to resolve it. Basically it's about removing these left-over audio devices with some Windows tools or a third-party registry cleaner tool. Unfortunately it can be a tedious process but worth to pursue. Btw. What you did is alright but it won't resolve the issue. But it can be that Windows detects these left-over devices and clean them up some time.
