Minsky
System dynamics program with additional features for economics
Minsky brings system dynamics and monetary modelling to economics. Models are defined using flowcharts on a drawing canvas (as are Matlab's Simulink, Vensim, Stella, etc). Minsky's unique feature is the "Godley Table", which uses double entry bookkeeping to generate stock-flow consistent models of financial flows. Minsky is good for demonstrating mathematics too, with the most "math-like" interface in system dynamics. Developer mailing lists will still be kept at Sourceforge. ---- OWFS -- 1-Wire file system. Use the Dallas 1-Wire and iButton chips with standard filesystem commands. Create temperature loggers. Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet. XSCHEM
Schematic circuit editor for VLSI and Mixed mode circuit simulation.
Xschem is a schematic capture program, it allows to create a hierarchical representation of circuits with a top down approach . By focusing on interconnections, hierarchy and properties a complex system (IC) can be described in terms of simpler building blocks. A VHDL, Verilog or Spice netlist can be generated from the drawn schematic, allowing the simulation of the circuit. Key feature of the program is its drawing engine written in C and using directly the Xlib drawing primitives; this gives top speed performance, even on very big circuits. I have succesfully managed to simulate complete VLSI projects with this tool, both digital (Verilog / VHDL) and analog (Spice). Schematics can be printed in SVG, PNG, PDF, formats. Program to generate a program to numerically solve either a single ordinary differential equation or a system of them.It is a Ruby program, now called omnisode, which generates either Ruby, C, C++, Maple or Maxima code. Code can be generated for all languages under Linux. Ruby can be generated under Windows. All can be generated under cygwin, but would need work on execution of Maple. Omnisode itself is Ruby, which is needed in all cases to generate the program. -

This is a collection of software modifications created to integrate NanoEngineer-1, PACKMOL and MSI2LMP for the purpose of easily creating molecular dynamics cells. NanoEngineer-1 is a molecular CAD software written by Nanorex and provides the user an easy way to create molecules, while the software modifications allow the user to type atoms using multiple force fields. PACKMOL can generate a random collection of molecules using the molecule templates from NanoEngineer-1 thus providing the initial MD cell. Modifications to PACKMOL allow the atom type data to be passed through to the MSI2LMP software. MSI2LMP creates a LAMMPS input file based on class I or class II force fields. MSI2LMP was modified to use numerically coded force field data generated by NanoEngineer-1. FORTRAN Unit Test Framework, written in FORTRAN 95. So that all FORTRAN features can be tested. FRUIT has assertion, fixture, setup, teardown, report, spec, driver generation. The Ruby code is to make fixtures and reports easier. Rake is to build the project elegantly. This project also demonstrate a new way to build mixed language code in an alternative way than Make. Most of the FORTRAN are important in nature, used in nuclear and aerospace codes, etc, and maintained and written actively. Please help to bring TDD practices to the FORTRAN community.
