Lightscreen is a small tool to automate the process of saving and cataloging screenshots, it operates as a hidden background process that is invoked with a hotkey and then saves a screenshot file to disk according to the user's preferences.
This is a great program. It has the same feature set as Greenshot but offers more. I have 1 complaint though... You are able to name screenshots with the date or with a number. That's great, but the date is in the wrong format (so it will not be in order when you list by file name. The date format should be yyyy-mm-dd instead of mm-dd-yyyy format. Also, the number format should offer to pad the number with zeroes. I'm sure this would be easy to fix. I recommend this program to anyone as long as they don't mind their screenshots being out of order.
Every student needs this software!
This is a very useful and great little app!!! thank you very much!! two things id like to see in the future: 1. be able to capture a scrollable window 2. the "zoom box" (for capture area) to be displayed after the screenshot key is pressed and not after the first click of the mouse! this is very important because we will be having "zoom" also for the first click !!! hope you know what i mean (my english are not so good) thanks again!
