When using Biber as the backend for BibLaTeX 2.0+, you *must* be using Biber version 1.0+.
Please also be aware that with BibLaTeX 2.0+, Biber is the default backend. If you wish to
use BibTeX as the backend, you must specify this as a package option e.g. "backend=bibtex8".
When using BibTeX as the backend with BibLaTeX 2.0+, it will actually run BibLaTeX 1.7 since,
barring serious bug fix requirements, BibLaTeX functionality is frozen forever at version
1.7. Almost all of the many BibLaTeX 2.0 features require Biber anyway.
