Hi!
When I start x128 in 80 column mode (-80col command) x128 shows boot message and hangs with overwritting one character in VIC screen before boot. The same effect when I have locked 40/80 DISPLAY key and reset machine.
This error I know only from only for VICE invalid EPROMs (real burned EPROMs working correctly on real C128) but in versions WinVice 2.2 and 2.3 appeared this error.
Now it's bug which was not in WinVice 2.4 - really don't understand this bug, I never understanded the same bug in case of only for VICE invalid EPROMs (real working).
EPROMs are meaning in U36 socket (internal) or REU (external).
BTW: Now VICE supports correctly CAPS and 40/80 key "locked" - please, do the same lock effect for SHIFT LOCK (I know that SHIFT LOCK is possible to find in keymap dump, but works no locking).

not sure i understand what the problem is, x128 -default -80col works fine here at least. if it happens only with a specific function rom, please attach it (or give a link to the binary)
Undestand wrong!
Every instance, no matter EPROM, like: x128 -80col
causes hanging machine
If I use attached EPROM, the same.
Miro
i can not reproduce this, both
x128 -extfrom FNKEYSEPROM.bin -80col
and
x128 -intfrom FNKEYSEPROM.bin -80col
work fine here - try resetting your config
OK, config.ini is attached
works with your config as well shrug
Hm, can be problem in Windows 8.1 x64?
Miro
please try again with a recent snapshot, is it still a problem? if yes, please run "x128 -default -col80" and provide the log output
closed because of no feedback. also Windows native UI will get removed after 3.2 - please test the GTK3 UI
