Hi Everyone, I'm Tim Mundy, A software developer for the Babelfish Corporation (babelfish.com). We are interested in working with Plone to incorporate our translation services. Our goal is to integrate in such a way that end users of Plone could easily request and receive translations from our company. Basically we envision this happening in such a manner Step #1 - A Plone User Signs Up With Babelfish Step #2 - While using Plone, The User creates a document that requires translation. They press a button to submit this translation job to Babelfish. At Babelfish the document is translated by human translators, and edited by certified editors too. Step #3 - Plone "locks" the document while the translation process is ongoing. Step #4 - Babelfish transfers the translated document back to Plone which gets automatically stored in the proper location inside Plone. (So the User doesn't have to copy & paste portions, It's all done automatically for them) This process would allow Plone Users to easily request translation from a 3rd party source. The Plone user would still be able to do their own translation if they desired. The Babelfish option would just be available as well. What do you think about this integration possibility? If this was to be done, Do you think it would be an add on to Plones i18nLayer? Any and all thoughts on how this integration could happen would be appreciated. Thanks for your time, I'll be looking forward to what you all have to say! Tim Mundy Software Developer E-mail: Tim...@ba...
