Hi.  If anyone is documentating the collective here is a description
for LinkChecker.

Link Checking -
   During the lifetime of a website occassionally links will refer
to content that has moved or no longer exists.  The Link Checking
component will report if any links that are used throughout the
website are no longer working.  The running of the component will
occur "in the background" and not interfere with the normal website
operations.
