In general if I have stylesheets or javascripts that don't have a reason to be in a skins directory ( i.e., aren't built by a call dtml ), then I'll put them in browser/stylesheets or browser/scripts. That's when you can use the ++resource++ in the path to the file. I'm really not sure why someone would prefer files in skins over resource directories, or visa versa - except that files in a resources directory can't be "customized" like files in skins directories. Anyone have a practical or philosophical reason for preferring one over the other? |
