Mumble 1.2.2 Released

Mumble just released version 1.2.2. This release introduces local caching of textures and comments, improved overlay quality including avatar support, ability to query for user information and much more.

Mumble 1.2.0 Beta

Mumble 1.2.0 has now entered its beta phase, and barring any unfixable bugs we expect the final release in a few weeks. While we consider this version stable enough that it should be safe for general deployment, please remember that all clients must be updated to 1.2.0 to work properly.

Mumble 1.2.0 Alpha

The 1.2 series of Mumble is now entering the alpha stage. It has actually been pretty stable for a while, but now all of the major new features we want in 1.2.0 are in place; see http://mumble.sourceforge.net/1.2.0 for a summary. The only thing left now is polishing and bugfixing, and that means more testing. So if you want 1.2.0 to happen faster, simply download and try it. Mumble: 1.1.6 Released

Mumble, the low-latency VoIP application for games, has just released version 1.1.6 for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The files can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=147372.

This is primarily a bugfix release, fixing a distribution bug in the libraries included on Win32.

Mumble 1.1.4 Released

Mumble, the low-latency VoIP application for games, has just released version 1.1.4. The files can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=147372.

This version includes Mac OS X source and binaries for Intel and PowerPC and adds positional audio support for Linux and Mac.

Mumble 1.1.0 Released

Mumble, the low latency, high quality voicechat application for gamers just released version 1.1.0 for Windows and Linux.
This releases adds full encryption and support for multiple virtual servers per process. Additionally the Windows overlay now also works under OpenGL.

Mumble 1.0.0 Released

Mumble, the low latency, high quality voicechat application for gamers just released version 1.0.0 for Windows and Linux.
This release features a heavily optimized server process which scales to tens of thousands of users and introduces a global server browser. The Linux version has been enhanced with in-game OpenGL overlays which work with any OpenGL game, commercial or opensource. Mumble 0.9.4 released - Linux client and translations

Mumble 0.9.4 has just been released, and now includes a Linux client. We have provided binary files for Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft).
Mumble is now fully translated into Spanish and German, hopefully with more languages to come.
Other new features are a new and userfriendly interface for setting hotkeys on Windows and slightly improved jitter handling.

Mumble 0.9.0 Released - Multiple channel support

Mumble 0.9.0 is now out, with proper multichannel support, including access lists and usergroups. Additionally, the server now stores it's basic settings in an ini-file, so you can easily start multiple servers from the same directory.

Mumble: 0.3.1 released, feature-complete audio

0.3.1 has been released, and we're now feature-complete on the audio side; we have excellent denoising, low-latency buffering, positional audio in supported games (the voice comes from the direction of the player) and now echo-cancellation so you can play on loudspeakers. There are many features left to add before 1.0, but the audio side should be complete.

Mumble: Alpha 0.2.2 Released

Version 0.2.2 was just released; fixing bugs from 0.2.1 and adding a proper log window, persistant storage of the list of servers. In addition, all actions now include both the initiator and victim of the action ("Player x muted by player y").

On the server side, murmur now shouldn't crash (as much), and in addition shows more usefull information in the console.

Mumble: First functional alpha

We just released the first functional alpha release, version 0.2. It's somewhat limited on functionality, but voice chatting works with superb quality. The binary release contains the client and server for Win32, for a unix server please checkout the cvs version.
