Hello, 1) I'm trying to query the Mantis database to produce various reports. Currently, the database schema lacks a mapping of the status, resolution, severity, priority, and a few other fields into the textual name given to them. Is it possible to have that text name directly in the database ? If one is not using the PHP Mantis API to query the database, one has to manually hardcode these mappings, and go over the entire result set just to convert e.g. a "30" to an "acknowledged"). I'm probably unaware of the reasons you chose not to have those mappings in the database already. 2) Scmbug currently implements on it's own (using the Perl DBI) the SQL statements needed to access bug information, update bug details and comments, etc. If one wanted to use directly the Mantis API for all that (so we don't break things when the Mantis schema and semantics change), and do it from Perl, how do you envision this being done ? Is there a collection of PHP files that can provide such functionality to be called externally ? The /path_to_mantis/core/checkin.php script seems to provide some of that. But we'd like to perform additional checks. Confirm that the Product name for the bug id checked-in is the one it should be, retrieve the bug owner, bug reporter, bug monitors, bug status, check if a version number exists, etc. It's as if we need access to a class that provides all this. The checkin.php script will only check-in what it is given. Any thoughts ? Thanks! |
