Hi Jan, indeed this is a very important point to discuss, in order to answer I have= to=20 go forth in my learning of the Mantis structure. There are two approaches=20 that could be taken in account: 1 - Use of a system level scheduling mechanism to perform such tasks 2 - Use one include from every page The first lack the portability, but that can be worked around quite easily = if=20 relying on PHP and using common tool like wget to trigger the escalation=20 tasks. It's also very easy to implement. The second is the "purest" one in regards of portability and philisophy, bu= t=20 we really need at least a refreshed page somewhere to trigger events, thus = if=20 (let's says in a week-end), nobody uses Mantis, then, some events could be= =20 overdue without sending the proper notifications neither doing the proper=20 tasks. So at the moment I'm still searching for a solution that could satisfy=20 everyone.=20 And I'll be happy to know which solution will be the most "compliant" to wh= at=20 the mantis team is used to.=20 In my opinion both solutions could be implemented in the same time, but I'm= =20 new to this list and to Mantis development, and I want to do things=20 accordingly to developer's habbits.
