I've not actually looked at the tarball with this (yet), and while I think there should be some form of configuration editor (I'll probably look at what you've done in a bit), my personal view is that now is not the right time. I'll explain: One of the future roadmap items is "Move configuration variables into the database " There has been some talking about discussing the possibilities on this post 0.19 release. Implementing a configuration editor now, it might need to be rewritten before the next release seems like a waste of effort. Of course, there's two points to note here: a) there still needs to be some sort of config file (even if some/most of the config was in the DB) to be able to locate the DB. b) it could be that the configuration editor your working on could be used to start to form the basis of a 'database configuration editor' /me makes note to look at tarball later.
