Hi, I discovered today by searching my name on Ohloh.net that I have been credited as a Mantis contributor. I dug a bit and found that one year ago I reported a bug (#11299) and proposed a fix, and that fix has been recently committed by David Hicks with my name as the orignal author. I'm really glad that such contributions can be directly detected by automated services such as Ohloh as that will help me to show the world the diversity of projects and programming languages on which I contribute. I expect this will help me for my professional career. So I'm writing this e-mail just to say THANK YOU to David and to the whole Mantis developers (assuming this is project-wide policy to credit patch authors in Git commits). I think that this is the best way to reward occasional contributors and that will encourage me to contribute more to this project. Thank you, Olivier Mengué. |
