The committer and author names could be completely different from who pushed the changes to the server (notice that earlier I committed/pushed changes authored by Victor). The real sticking point here is that everyone pushes to the server using the 'git' account, and gitosis on the backend uses the person's SSH key to determine access controls. This means that to git, everything is coming from the same user account ('git'), and so there's not really any good way (that I know of) to determine who is the one doing the push. =\ -- John Reese LeetCode.net |
