I'll try to respond to many of your recent emails at once :) I just experienced a reality check on my end-of-quarter projects, so I'll have to let BibDesk sit for a week or two now. I didn't make all the nib changes, and haven't started on any documentation updates. I had two other major changes planned that dealt with how authors were handled and making the edit window less like a whole separate document. Those will also have to wait. About the cite modes idea you mentioned - I just looked at the note you sent about it, 10/18/02, right? I have to admit I don't really understand what is going on with it. Could you explain it in another email with the picture? Sorry if it's obvious, I just don't get what it's controlling and what the fields represent... About the font pref GUI suggestions - The last suggestion (subject: more) looks fine, but I don't get the bottom one in the first email (subject: font pref suggestion) - how do we know what the font choice affects, and how do we know what adding a font choice will do? And I cringe a little to say it, but when will we need more than three font preferences? Another thought I had about font preferences - why not avoid font prefs altogether and make it more of a direct manipulation thing - eg, just have a 'change font' menu item in the contextual menu of each thing that can be changed, and remember the change? -mike PS bruce, can you continue just emailing to the list if it's not really just for me?
