No, I just wanted to do it for you. This stuff is flaky. It's easier to do it than explain it. It's like juggling. use the attached dsv. The following steps are just common sense, not mystical. make backups of everything clear out anything seemingly related. start the emulator and load the rom. CLOSE it check where the .dsv was placed replace it with the one I attached

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1785

Sorry, I accidentally deleted your attachment 1. Why are you using 0.9.11 instead of 0.9.13 2. Are you using E or U (or JP..) version of the game 3. For your information, this is not actually a .dsv file. It's a raw .sav file with the wrong extension.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1782

If desmume is running poorly enough that you have to restart your computer, then your computer is very unhealthy. If you must continue using this unhealthy computer (dusty fans, failing power supplies, leaking capacitors) then make frequent backups of your saves. If NONE of the old saves open, then either your computer is about to drop dead, or you don't understand what you're doing with your files. you may have suddenly started using a different (differently hacked?) rom which doesn't match the...

This is an old version of desmume. Use a newer version. Stop using hacks and cheats. Don't use savestates. Save in-game frequently, close the emulator, and reopen it. But perhaps you just ran into a rare bug in the game.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

Stop using savestates. Save in-game frequently, close the emulator, open it again, and make sure you still have your data.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1767

You didn't save. Or you lost your save files. This may have happened if you ran desmume directly from the zipfile or %TEMP%. Dearchive all files to a directory on your desktop and work from there.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1780

Looks like your kid brother adjusted your monitor gamma settings or somehow set a per-application color filter in the GPU or windows color management setting. Has nothing to do with desmume itself. Your kid brother may have also changed config > display method which conflicts unfavorably with bad GPU drivers

stop using savestates, stop using hacks, stop using cheats, stop using wifi features in the game. even though you used the key term "save in game" the bug you describe sounds a lot like "I am using savestates." are you sure you're not using savestates? if not, you're probably using a hacked rom.

Use the QT version of fceux if you want the windowing parts of it to be less awful. I doubt there is a problem with the game genie codes (except a shoddy UI) in fceux. Combinations of codes can always glitch the game. This is just not really a thing that the emulator can do wrong. If you can use these cheats in nestopia, I would be impressed. Maybe it depends on some luck and it will crash later in nestopia. This screenshot doesn't seem like the time I would expect those cheats to be doing anything....

Desmume doesn't support wifi. Therefore the communication device does not work. If you are hacking and cheating, the game might break. There's nothing we can do about that. Look for support on a cheater's forum.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1773

savestates are not portable between desmume versions. You have no idea what desmume version is used on "emulator website". Nor what they've changed even if you knew which version (number). You must use in-game saves for this.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1636

Then you ran it from the zipfile, meaning you have no clue where any of the files were ever located in the first place, and they got cleaned out of the temp directory. Get control of the files on your computer by dearchiving desmume to a directory on your desktop.
