What isn't working?
"Green Blackout"
Still, it's pretty cool you could get it to run at all on a toaster.
why are there so many people posting on lua threads lately? why are you complaining instead of helpfully asking what you want? most up to date information https://github.com/TASEmulators/desmume/issues/779
Desmume X432R is a years-old hack made by someone else that we don't support. yes, it has this bug. Stop using that version of the emulator.
I don't know what problem you're talking about. But if it's about Mr. Backlot, you are WRONG and there's no way that has to do with 3d settings.
press power button to turn on
Fix what? The bug fixed in 2019?
I followed these simple steps and got it working in 10 seconds: 1. download desmume 0.9.13 x64 2. download the most recent lua link provided by someone else saying they got it working in this thread https://sourceforge.net/projects/luabinaries/files/5.1.5/Tools%20Executables/lua-5.1.5_Win64_bin.zip/download 3. put lua5.1.dll and lua51.dll alongside desmume_0.9.13_x64.exe
Huh? Ask your principal?

BENEVOLENCE UPON THEE O HUMBLE POKEPLAYER, MAY YOUR MOVES EVER BE SUPER-EFFECTIVE.
What game are you talking about
wow. you are in the top 0.01% of pokemon gamers to have comprehended what I wrote and applied it successfully so quickly. If you want to write an evaluation of what you did and what you learned, it may help others.
stop using old versions of desmume. do not use savestates. save in-game frequently. close the emulator, open it again, and load your in-game save.
screen like what appears?
Search your hard disk for .dsv files. Next time, disable your security software and run desmume from a folder on your desktop, instead of program files or directly from the zipfile.
The nintendo DS has physical buttons. Google image search for pictures of it. Stop trying to tap it and press buttons instead
Presumably it worked because you didn't realize you have to press buttons to play the game. Have you ever seen an NDS? It has buttons on it.
rocket slime? really? this is not a complicated game. in fact this is probably the only bug thread in the history of the universe about it. I just deleted my ini, launched rocket slime, and mashed ENTER and X while holding TAB and started a new game as far as the tutorial minigame in about 15 seconds
Entonces has emparejado el juego/región/versión/hack incorrecto de NDS y GBA.
you must accompany the pokemon_rom.gba with a file in the same directory named exactly this: pokemon_rom.sav please ensure that you have done this (the dialog box says that you should do it)
La solución para el mismo problema es la misma solución.
same solution, w
that happens when you use decades-old desmumes. yeah, that's the workaround for it. but hey, thanks for coming back to report your experience
that happens when you use decades-old desmumes. yeah, that's the workaround for it.
that happens when you use decades-old desmumes
you're using a decades-old desmume. stop.
Then you used the wrong rom.
Still alive and thriving. The key to staying healthy is not to marinate in hate.
Same issue, same fix. Nobody ever provided a savestate.
Sonic Chronicles freezing when showing POW tutorial 0.9.13
did you google this? there have been 1000s of people discussing this for 10s of years. we don't have anything to add here.
Use the QT version of fceux if you want the windowing parts of it to be less awful. I doubt there is a problem with the game genie codes (except a shoddy UI) in fceux. Combinations of codes can always glitch the game. This is just not really a thing that the emulator can do wrong. If you can use these cheats in nestopia, I would be impressed. Maybe it depends on some luck and it will crash later in nestopia. This screenshot doesn't seem like the time I would expect those cheats to be doing anything....

Nitsuja help Please Pokemon Black Version 2 (DSi Enhanced) Freezing
Desmume doesn't support wifi. Therefore the communication device does not work. If you are hacking and cheating, the game might break. There's nothing we can do about that. Look for support on a cheater's forum.
savestates are not portable between desmume versions. You have no idea what desmume version is used on "emulator website". Nor what they've changed even if you knew which version (number). You must use in-game saves for this.
Bought it "brand new" legit at a gamestop WHEN? It's fascinating that the game bugs for you on a cart. Usually that stuff only happens on a flash cart.
It's what you will get if you open a broken rom. Emulator can't handle broken rom. Stop feeding it broken roms.
Stop running desmume directly from the zipfile or %TEMP%. Dearchive all files to a directory on your desktop and work from there.
What about it?
List exactly what you tried. I don't think you tried everything.
You're never too old for a little good old fashioned clean fun
the hack is broken
change your 3d renderer to softrasterizer and stop using a 20 year old version of desmume
Then you never saved in-game. Load one of the broken savestates and try to save in-game, then stop using the savestates. Go back to the old desmume version to do that if you have to. You're asking for elementary "how to use emulator" support, you will find more help on "how to use emulator" forum
You don't need to uninstall them. You don't need to delete them. Just stop using them.
Stop using savestates. Savestates arent compatible between versions.
change 3d renderer and change TXT hack option
close the emulator and delete desmume.ini
This is due to using a VERY VERY VERY old version of desmume. That bug was fixed years ago, perhaps 10 or more.
files are always better than using the actual mic
reboot your computer.
Stop using savestates. Save in-game frequently and close the emulator. Open it again and load from the in-game menu
Who told you to press the start and select keys? Try pressing other keys. There are a total of eight on the NDS
Stop using savestates. Save in-game frequently and close the emulator. Open it again and load from the game's file menu
Same problem, same solution.
Then you ran it from the zipfile, meaning you have no clue where any of the files were ever located in the first place, and they got cleaned out of the temp directory. Get control of the files on your computer by dearchiving desmume to a directory on your desktop.
If you don't want to VIEW something (such as the FRAME COUNTER), then use the VIEW menu to turn it off.
Config > rom loading
By using any or all of the same solutions written in this thread
So what?
It's like squishing bugs just to watch them squirm. I'm not proud of it.
"this exact problem is happening with 9.11 (several years old version)"
Did you try any of the dozens of suggestions in this thread?
We don't make the IOS version. I have no idea how its mic or mic samples feature works.
I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking if you can bring your nocash save file to desmume, then follow the instructions in that post to get past the point, and then bring the savefile back into nocash? Yes, that will work.
Zeromus cheerfully let your remark through the moderation queue. Have a nice day.
delete your desmume.ini file, you have chosen an option to do fast motion but don't remember that you did it.
try deleting desmume.ini. you may have chosen an option that causes desmume to crash on your system
Who told you to press the start button?
because you hacked or cheated or waited too long. save more frequently and make backups
does any other game work?
Which screen? Screen containing what?
Then use same solution
Stop hacking or cheating and using savestates. That's the most common way for your save data to get wrecked SO BADLY that the game can't even boot. People are doing it some other way, but we don't know what it is. It's possible that it happens because you use savestates AND in-game saves, such that the game is broken, and after that point whenever you in-game save it produces a broken in-game save. But the game is supposed to detect corrupt saves and erase them when it boots..
use a newer version of desmume. stop using savestates. save in-game frequently, close the emulator, open it again, and load the save file from the menu. to get past sticking points in bowsers inside story, change emulation options (JIT off/on and block size, advanced bus timing, bios options) until you can get past the sticking point. Then save and change options back to normal.
useless commenter
face the harsh reality and stop and consider the frame of mind you must have been in to ignore the warning the game gave you that you would not be able to save
So what? it's a warning.
stop using savestates. save in-game frequently and close the emulator. Consider using a version of the emulator that isn't outdated.
Digi-Farm Call Causing issue in Digimon World DS (U)(Legacy)
stop using savestates. save in-game frequently and close the emulator.
the latest version of desmume doesn't use msvcp100.dll you still haven't googled the error message, probably I doubt you ran that installer
Download error
that's an old version of desmume google the error message install this: https://github.com/TASEmulators/BizHawk-Prereqs/releases
You've done something to corrupt your save file or your rom. Delete everything (make backups first) and then download it all again. We have no idea what people are doing to corrupt their pokemon (I feel I may safely assume) save files. Maybe you can figure it out.
yes, it's old. try googling "desmume download"
Isn't this like a 90 year old problem? Stop using such an old version of desmume.
Oh, I don't like "quite a few" graphics problems.............. are they easy to find in a quick playthrough? or can you post your dsv? I might look into them. Is there any chance they're from recent GPU work? Are they problems on prior version before the HD stuff?
You will have to figure out the link. I gave you the specifications.
You will have to figure out how to use irc to discuss this further.
I don't use discord. You can record a video and we can discuss it on irc.libera.chat #desmume
I don't think so. I think you're loading a savestate. If you want to prove me wrong, record a video of booting the game and loading your in-game save and showing me that youre changing the 3d renderer.
If you deleted everything then you're not halfway through the game anymore. Did you really delete everything? Do you really understand the difference between savestates and in-game saves?
your rom is corrupted.
Then delete everything (make backups first) and start over (but change 3d renderer to softrasterizer before testing)
