why are there so many people posting on lua threads lately? why are you complaining instead of helpfully asking what you want? most up to date information https://github.com/TASEmulators/desmume/issues/779

Desmume X432R is a years-old hack made by someone else that we don't support. yes, it has this bug. Stop using that version of the emulator.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1648

I don't know what problem you're talking about. But if it's about Mr. Backlot, you are WRONG and there's no way that has to do with 3d settings.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1628

I followed these simple steps and got it working in 10 seconds: 1. download desmume 0.9.13 x64 2. download the most recent lua link provided by someone else saying they got it working in this thread https://sourceforge.net/projects/luabinaries/files/5.1.5/Tools%20Executables/lua-5.1.5_Win64_bin.zip/download 3. put lua5.1.dll and lua51.dll alongside desmume_0.9.13_x64.exe

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1777

stop using old versions of desmume. do not use savestates. save in-game frequently. close the emulator, open it again, and load your in-game save.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1777

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1517

Search your hard disk for .dsv files. Next time, disable your security software and run desmume from a folder on your desktop, instead of program files or directly from the zipfile.

The nintendo DS has physical buttons. Google image search for pictures of it. Stop trying to tap it and press buttons instead

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1739

Presumably it worked because you didn't realize you have to press buttons to play the game. Have you ever seen an NDS? It has buttons on it.

rocket slime? really? this is not a complicated game. in fact this is probably the only bug thread in the history of the universe about it. I just deleted my ini, launched rocket slime, and mashed ENTER and X while holding TAB and started a new game as far as the tutorial minigame in about 15 seconds

Use the QT version of fceux if you want the windowing parts of it to be less awful. I doubt there is a problem with the game genie codes (except a shoddy UI) in fceux. Combinations of codes can always glitch the game. This is just not really a thing that the emulator can do wrong. If you can use these cheats in nestopia, I would be impressed. Maybe it depends on some luck and it will crash later in nestopia. This screenshot doesn't seem like the time I would expect those cheats to be doing anything....

Desmume doesn't support wifi. Therefore the communication device does not work. If you are hacking and cheating, the game might break. There's nothing we can do about that. Look for support on a cheater's forum.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1773

savestates are not portable between desmume versions. You have no idea what desmume version is used on "emulator website". Nor what they've changed even if you knew which version (number). You must use in-game saves for this.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1636

Bought it "brand new" legit at a gamestop WHEN? It's fascinating that the game bugs for you on a cart. Usually that stuff only happens on a flash cart.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1602

It's what you will get if you open a broken rom. Emulator can't handle broken rom. Stop feeding it broken roms.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1767

Stop running desmume directly from the zipfile or %TEMP%. Dearchive all files to a directory on your desktop and work from there.

change your 3d renderer to softrasterizer and stop using a 20 year old version of desmume

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1770

Then you never saved in-game. Load one of the broken savestates and try to save in-game, then stop using the savestates. Go back to the old desmume version to do that if you have to. You're asking for elementary "how to use emulator" support, you will find more help on "how to use emulator" forum

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1770

You don't need to uninstall them. You don't need to delete them. Just stop using them.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1770

Stop using savestates. Savestates arent compatible between versions.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1769

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1675

close the emulator and delete desmume.ini

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1687

This is due to using a VERY VERY VERY old version of desmume. That bug was fixed years ago, perhaps 10 or more.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1762

Then you ran it from the zipfile, meaning you have no clue where any of the files were ever located in the first place, and they got cleaned out of the temp directory. Get control of the files on your computer by dearchiving desmume to a directory on your desktop.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1345

Stop hacking or cheating and using savestates. That's the most common way for your save data to get wrecked SO BADLY that the game can't even boot. People are doing it some other way, but we don't know what it is. It's possible that it happens because you use savestates AND in-game saves, such that the game is broken, and after that point whenever you in-game save it produces a broken in-game save. But the game is supposed to detect corrupt saves and erase them when it boots..

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1700

use a newer version of desmume. stop using savestates. save in-game frequently, close the emulator, open it again, and load the save file from the menu. to get past sticking points in bowsers inside story, change emulation options (JIT off/on and block size, advanced bus timing, bios options) until you can get past the sticking point. Then save and change options back to normal.

You've done something to corrupt your save file or your rom. Delete everything (make backups first) and then download it all again. We have no idea what people are doing to corrupt their pokemon (I feel I may safely assume) save files. Maybe you can figure it out.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1763

yes, it's old. try googling "desmume download"

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1763

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1733

Oh, I don't like "quite a few" graphics problems.............. are they easy to find in a quick playthrough? or can you post your dsv? I might look into them. Is there any chance they're from recent GPU work? Are they problems on prior version before the HD stuff?

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

You will have to figure out the link. I gave you the specifications.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

I don't use discord. You can record a video and we can discuss it on irc.libera.chat #desmume

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

I don't think so. I think you're loading a savestate. If you want to prove me wrong, record a video of booting the game and loading your in-game save and showing me that youre changing the 3d renderer.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

If you deleted everything then you're not halfway through the game anymore. Did you really delete everything? Do you really understand the difference between savestates and in-game saves?

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752

    your rom is corrupted.

  • zeromus zeromus posted a comment on ticket #1752
