SendLit is an open-source email marketing platform for newsletter teams, creators, small businesses, and software platforms that want to manage email or embed sending in their products. It supports visual broadcasts, audience segments, automated sequences, and transactional messages through a REST API. Teams can connect Amazon SES or SMTP providers, manage contacts and templates, and use suppression lists, tracking, and one-click unsubscribe headers. The hosted service offers free and paid plans based on monthly email volume, while Docker Compose supports self-hosting. A TypeScript SDK, MCP server, team-provisioning API, and embeddable React editor support integrations and programmatic workflows. Contacts are unlimited across hosted plans, and email-provider charges are paid separately. SendLit is being bootstrapped; bounce handling and multi-user accounts remain on the roadmap.
