About
Zooid is an open-source team chat app built on the Matrix protocol, offering channels, threads, direct messages, and spaces. It can be self-hosted so conversation history and data remain on infrastructure the operator controls.
The application is designed so that AI agents can take part in the same rooms as human team members. Agents that support the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), such as Claude Code, Codex, and opencode, can be added to a room, where their actions render as structured interface elements rather than plain text: permission requests appear as approval cards, tool calls as structured data, task plans as checklists, and sub-agent hierarchies as an expandable tree. Each agent runs in its own sandboxed container.
Zooid is released under the MIT license and is self-hostable end to end.

About
eve is an open-source framework for building AI agents that you own, designed around a file-system-based structure and production-ready runtime. An instructions.md file is enough to define an agent, while optional building blocks such as model configuration, skills, tools, sandboxes, channels, connections, subagents, schedules, and evals can be added as the agent grows. Tools are created by dropping TypeScript files into the tools directory, and skills are written as Markdown playbooks that load only when relevant. Agents can connect to services such as GitHub, Stripe, and Linear through authenticated connections and can surface through Slack, Discord, Teams, web chat, APIs, cron jobs, CLIs, and custom applications from the same codebase. Specialized subagents can handle delegated work with their own prompts, tools, and sandboxes.
