Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • This is an amazing tool in keeping notes and documents at your fingertips! Easy to use, easy to add sections & pages, love this tool to keep notes and stay organized!
  • - It is an easy-to-use tool that helps tremendously in organizing notes. - It has useful tools that fulfill the requirements for both personal and professional use. - Different sections can be created to organize and separate the notes. - The user interface of the application is fluid to use because of the animation and looks pleasing to the eyes. - It autosaves the notes, which is lifesaver features in times when the system shuts down abruptly.
  • I can sync my notes on my PC and access them on my phone very quickly and easily. Creating notes with images and links is fun and works well. Best of all it syncs to OneDrive to access all your PC files on your phone.
  • Syncs between devices. Works great with keyboards, styluses, and finger inputs. Many drawing options. Can add images, audio, documents.
  • Our organization is using OneNote to manage employee documents in a secure and organized manner. It is beneficial for saving the data and images on a secured office 365 cloud. We can create a customize graphical dashboard to manage and analyze the activities. We can save the data by adding multiple specific tabs with their titles. We can share the data/files across the organization. - Great application for documentation - Customizable graphical dashboard to analyze the progress/records. - Data saving and sharing feature. - Searching capability is incredible. - We can create the slides for representation - Friendly user interface and easy to use. - Open-source application - Cross-platform and highly secured Office 365 tool - Mobile version

Cons

  • No cons that I can think of honestly. I love this tool!
  • - It limits the user in terms of integration, as it does not support third-party integration with many applications other than Microsoft's applications.
• Sometimes syncing can be slow and there are not enough sharing options like other note-taking apps.
  • File size can get large. There is a bug (?) on android where typing with a keyboard does not allow you to use ctrl+b, ctrl+i, ctrl+u, ctrl+arrow left or right and other common shortcuts. I can't fathom why!!
  • Nothing to dislike with OneNote. Everything is working fine for me. I love this product.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • 1) The app has many size options. The different pen sizes allows me to highlight just enough text or write supper small or super large. 2) The app is great for annotating. Porting PDFs to Notability is very easy. It also has the tools one needs to annotate (pen, highlighter) but isn't bogged down by too many options. 3) I find it exports well. I find that the app is good at exporting my notes over to places such as Google Drive, where I can then share them with my classmates. 4) Amazing audio-annotation feature. I have hearing loss, so the audio recordings that are synchronized with the notes I take in class was the selling point to me -- this feature does not disappoint. 5) It has efficient organization. The app also allows me to be highly organized. I love being able to make a file for each semester of school and then have individual class folders within. 6) The app has good pricing. The app has two subscription options of $2.99 monthly or $11.99 annually. I find that for the effectiveness and ease pf the app, this price could be higher.
  • 1. There are a lot of tools to create detailed and attractive notes. 2. It allows adding audio, pictures, and other media to the notes to make it more brief. 3. It helps in keeping all the notes organized. 4. All the saved notes can be searched from a universal search button. 5. All the notes gets stored on the cloud securely.
  • - Notability is a great application to take large notes or articles because of its tools. - There multiple tools to add colours, pictures and element to make the notes more detailed and brief. - Created notes gets organized in a manner that they can be accessed easily in the future.
  • Notability's mobile version is a super convenient and has an appealing interface. The notes card is very attractive and adds a minimal touch. You can store notes in multiple ways that include, by writing, recording and scanning the documents.
  • It's a portable version of notes that offers you anywhere to write and store notes. Intuitive user interface. Handwritten notes option. Scan and store feature.

Cons

  • 1) Notability is a subscription service. The app only runs on subscription options, which can be annoying if one stops using it for a long period of time, so say the summer break from school. 2) Templates are slightly complex at first. I found that the app defaults to a blank page for its template, and it took me a few days to figure out how to change this. 3) The special shapes are tricky. Making special shapes with the pen feature, such as curved lines and arrows, can be tricky. I find that the program sometimes fails to see the difference between a hand-drawn curved arrow and a straight line.
  • 1. The price of the application is a bit too high compared to other alternatives. 2. Saving notes to Google Drive is a hassle.
  • - It serves the purpose, but it gets complex to use and does not have a simple UI. - It is difficult to gets around the application initially.
  • Not, very cost effective in platform in my usage.
  • It worked great for me. Nothing to share about cons.
