About

Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based productivity platform that combines familiar tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams into one integrated solution. With the addition of Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI capabilities are built directly into these applications to enhance productivity and streamline everyday tasks. Users can draft documents, analyze data, create presentations, and manage emails more efficiently with intelligent assistance. The platform allows seamless collaboration across teams by enabling real-time editing, file sharing, and communication. Microsoft 365 also includes cloud storage through OneDrive, ensuring users can access their files from anywhere. Copilot helps users generate content, summarize information, and provide insights based on their data. The system is designed to support both personal and professional workflows with flexibility across desktop, web, and mobile devices.

About

Simplify document reviews by making it easy for everyone on your team to preview, annotate, share, and mark up documents in real-time without ever sending an email or downloading a file to your desktop. Facilitate centralized feedback, comments, and discussions on documents without ever removing them from your secure NetDocuments environment. Communicate content edits clearly and quickly reference feedback with Margin Notes. Users can quickly add comments to a document directly from the preview window, enabling your team to collaborate without downloading or opening the document itself. Collaborate in real-time and communicate around the document, without editing directly within the document. By doing so, you avoid the need to wait for a colleague to check a document in so you can work, or create a duplicate version that may not include someone else’s edits.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It allows users to access Office applications from any device and location with an Internet connection. It provides seamless collaboration and communication between users through shared documents, online meetings, chat, and email. It offers a variety of applications and features that can meet the different needs and preferences of users, such as data analysis, presentation design, document editing, etc. Provides free updates to the latest versions of Office applications and new features as they are released. It allows users to store and sync their files in the cloud with OneDrive, which also offers backup and recovery options. It integrates well with other Microsoft products and services such as Windows, Azure, Dynamics 365, etc.
  • + There are many office automation platforms today but those of Microsoft are more solid and more complete since it adapts to both the personal, business and student level. Added to this with Microsoft 365 I can have access to all its products even from the web browser, so in case I do not have the necessary compatibility of the latest version I can still have the web version of Office with very few limitations. + Although Microsoft 365 products are paid, there are also free versions. In the case of PC I can edit for a certain time until the end of the trial period, I can see more not edit. However, on its website it can be used for free with few limitations, it is enough to have an Outlook account to be able to enjoy the MS 365 tools. I do not recommend it but it can be useful to non-profit people who still do not they want to detach themselves from Office products. + It has Microsoft Teams in case your company requires it, for me it has been useful for effective communication within my company without having to resort to other means such as WhatsApp or Telegram since with Teams it is more focused on a more professional for collaboration and communication within a company, which can also be integrated with many applications that exist today. + I like that everything is automatically backed up to the cloud with OneDrive, so I don't have to worry about copying my document to multiple sites but every time I hit save (or auto save) to a PowerPoint presentation or spreadsheet everything you go straight to the cloud just by having your Outlook account logged in. So wherever I have OneDrive installed, it will be synchronized and I will have my files or documents available, likewise I will also have my files on other platforms, I will be able to have all my files in the same way.
  • Microsoft 365 is cloud-based which makes it easy to access. It is bundled up with Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive storage and various other Microsoft products. It requires only one purchase to get all licenses, unlike buying them separately.
  • It does exactly what you need it to do. It is easy to access your email and other Microsoft products from anywhere with 365. It allows for easy integration between products as well as for collaboration with other team members. It is easy to use, and also has a visually appealing user interface.
  • ° I can automatically save all my documents created with a Microsoft 365 account without worrying about missing something. I have had problems before due to power failures, thus losing much of the content of the documents I had created, having to use strange methods to recover the damn file. Now I don't have that problem because practically every action I do within a document will be automatically saved instantly both on the computer and in the Microsoft cloud. ° It has a wide catalog of Microsoft platforms that can be useful to those who need it. I've typically used much of this to software that Microsoft 365 provides so I'm comfortable with this feature that you get when you purchase a subscription, although .E should let you choose what I want and what I don't. ° I have a large storage capacity, the space offered by the Microsoft 365 account is too large that there is even room to save more things in OneDrive in case I want to store other files for company or personal use. I like this too much because not only does it serve me to store documents but it goes beyond my possibilities when I want to store something very large. ° When with a very excellent spell checker in practically any language. I like it a lot because usually I tend to make one or another spelling mistake or I miss a semicolon and Microsoft 365 helps me with all those problems that make everything more understandable, orderly and with zero errors. ° I like that you can have access to all the functionalities in the mobile version by being able to contract a subscription. I like this when I need to quickly edit a document via my phone without having to resort to a laptop or writing computer.

Cons

  • Requires a monthly or annual subscription fee, which may not be affordable or cost-effective for some users who only need basic or occasional use of Office applications. You depend on a reliable Internet connection to access cloud-based features and services, which may not be available or stable in some areas or situations. It may have some compatibility issues with older or non-Microsoft devices or software, which may affect the functionality or performance of Office applications. You may have some security or privacy risks associated with storing sensitive data in the cloud or sharing it with others online. May have a learning curve or adaptation challenges for some users who are used to traditional or desktop versions of Office applications.
  • - I liked it better when I could pay for a fixed payment on some version of Microsoft Office, but now everything is by subscription, thus having to seriously calculate the expenses and also ensure that Microsoft 365 products are used correctly within the company to be able to take advantage of it month by month. - The application on mobile devices is quite limited, it practically looks like a simple text editor and not a complete professional office tool. I have tried the tablet versions and it is a bit more complete, similar to the web version. However, the version for smartphones takes away many functions which means that you only use the mobile version to view documents and not to make edits due to lack of functionality in relation to the desktop version. - The interface in the desktop version is very overwhelming, I'm used to it but there are people who only require the simple. So a simplified version that contains the most common functions would not be bad so as not to get lost in so many tools. - The autosave is not perfect, I have almost always been able to save a document when I have a power failure. But in some cases I have lost several lines even with the auto-saved edits that Microsoft has. So if I could the ability to save the document for every word I type that would be perfect. - The editor marks an error in the middle of some words. No, it is not a problem of bad writing or a non-existent word, when I am writing in some Microsoft 365 software and the review is automatically executed, the editor simply says that "Door" is wrong in "oor" and suggests that I put " or” when I am clearly typing “Door”. It sounds a bit confusing, but that's the way the Microsoft 365 editor has been lately.
  • In the past, I faced a few bugs in the Excel tool, but today everything has been fixed.
  • I wish that you could customize your home bar more than the website currently allows. Although minor, it would be nice to not have to click so many times for my most frequently used apps.
  • ° I don't like that it has become a subscription software. Before we only had the possibility of having a single payment with updates included and everything was much more stable and complete. Now everything is with micropayments or subscriptions that make the customer spend more than he owes by giving him a fixed income of a certain amount that is more expensive than having a single-price purchase. ° I would like there to be a big discount with the subscriptions that are purchased for years. This would increase customers' ability to continue purchasing the service and would not cost as much in the long run, without needing to hinder the return on investment of purchasing Microsoft 365 services. ° The online version is extremely incomplete, so you may have to download the desktop version to use certain functions than the online version or despite having already purchased a subscription. This is annoying because it should include everything in the desktop version to the online version to make life easier for the user without the need to download anything. ° Although you pay to have access to everything, it is a lie that the average user uses all the platforms that Microsoft 365 offers, I should be able to customize what I really want to only pay for what is fair and not have unused platforms and that I don't take advantage of all of them properly because there has been no need. ° Improve costs per additional user. It bothers me that if it is one user or 6 there is a specific amount, however when I want only two people there the accounts do not give. It would be better to buy for 6 people but I would have 4 of those positions there without using them. Thus losing money that should not be for not having the freedom to choose.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Having all our millions of documents centralized and stored into one single place has kept us more organized and productive as a team across our organization. Its search engine capability has enabled us to gain access to specific documents we need fast and easy. We have access to documents from any device at anytime, which increases flexibility. Furthermore, its seamless integration with other tools we use like Microsoft Word increases our productivity. It stores the latest version of documents, which simplifies our work. It is a great tool with tons of features that helps in document management.

Cons

  • We have been able to cut down on costs, paper and managed to transform our company into a paperless office. I have nothing negative to say about it.
