About

The LiveApp Player Suite includes everything you need out of the box to assemble the simplest to the most demanding business applications. It includes a Composite Application Builder, a publishing tool and all the popular modules and services. The Composite Application Builder, the LiveIntegrator will assemble any business application with no practical limitation. The publishing tool, the LiveModeler will publish your existing assets so they can be assembled, thus creating a SOA. ObjectBuilders extensive GUI library is available for free and is fully supported by ObjectBuilders. This is the same GUI library that is currently being used by many government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. In today's fast paced world of instant feedback and status updates, users expect and demand real-time user interfaces. Developing a real-time user experience on the web requires dedicated infrastructure and significant knowledge of low-level internet technologies.

About

PhotoCraft is a free, open-source raster image editor for photographers, digital artists, designers, and other creative users. It provides layers, masks, adjustment layers, layer styles, text, vector tools, and brushes in a native desktop application, with a WebAssembly build that can be hosted separately. Users can make non-destructive edits with adjustment layers and live-preview filters, select subjects and objects on-device, and refine masks locally. The editor opens and saves layered PSD and PSB documents, supports smart objects and smart filters, and includes color-management tools for RGB, CMYK, Lab, and grayscale documents at 8-, 16-, and 32-bit depths. PhotoCraft is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and is distributed as free, open-source software.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It had a nice familiar UI. It looks like Photoshop. That's the goal, and they achieved that. It's a good design.
  • What I like most is that it feels familiar immediately. The layout, tools, shortcuts, layers, masks, adjustment layers, and PSD workflow are close enough to traditional professional image editors that there is almost no learning curve. The performance is another big plus. PhotoCraft is written natively in Rust and uses the GPU instead of wrapping everything in Electron, so the whole app feels much more lightweight than I expected.

Cons

  • Everything else. It's barely more useful than MS Paint, and only because it has layers. You're better off with basically any other free raster editor with an actual developer behind it.
  • The main downside is that it is still early alpha. There are still some tools, advanced typography features, generative AI capabilities, and plugin compatibility on the roadmap, so it is not a complete Photoshop replacement yet.
