About

Glaido is a desktop voice-input and AI productivity application for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It converts speech into text in the active app and offers voice commands to rewrite, translate, summarize, answer questions, or run tools. Users can also summarize webpages and videos, search the web, and connect built-in or custom tools, including through Model Context Protocol (MCP). It supports workflows for individuals, developers, knowledge workers, and enterprise teams who want voice-driven input and actions across the apps they already use. Dictation requires an internet connection. The Free plan includes up to 2,000 words of dictation per week; Pro provides unlimited dictation, and Enterprise adds team administration, SSO and SAML, dedicated data processing, and API access. Some built-in and custom tool features are in beta, and custom connections may require setup.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The interface is very well done and has many features. The assistant mode is really a game changer for me. It's really more than just dictation. It really allows me to work faster, performing quick web searches and stuff like that. I really I have almost become lazy now and I can hardly imagine going back to just working with a simple keyboard. The team is also responsive. They fixed a small issue I had and reported within a couple of days.

Cons

  • I wish it was available on mobile and mac because I use different operating systems for work and home. Team told me it's on the roadmap but "no ETA" apparently.
