About

ChatGPT Work is an agent in ChatGPT that helps users take on more ambitious tasks by taking action across apps and files, staying with a project for hours if needed, and turning a goal into finished work. It can gather information across apps and workflows to create finished materials like sheets, slides, docs, and web apps, breaking complex projects into smaller steps and completing them independently while the user follows progress, answers questions, changes direction, and approves important actions. With Codex technology built in and powered by GPT-5.6, ChatGPT Work moves beyond answering questions to getting real work done across web, mobile, and desktop. Users can ask it to analyze a month-end budget variance, turn source materials into a marketing campaign brief, prepare for a sales meeting, or carry context through an entire workflow from customer research to campaign assets and market adaptations.

About

Instinct is a personal assistant that understands what you are working on and what is important to you, then connects directly to the applications and devices that contain the context of your everyday life. It can work across email, messaging, your screen, audio, location, and other sources rather than requiring you to move everything into a new interface. The interaction model is deliberately simple: there are no new interfaces to learn. Instinct is trained to use a phone and a computer in the same way people do, and users can reach it by text or by calling it. Its core model is trained to understand and handle the deeply personal nuances of everyday life, allowing it to move beyond answering isolated prompts and instead act on ongoing responsibilities and unfinished threads. It can follow up on conversations you have dropped, proactively call or text you when something needs attention, arrange transportation to the airport, and book a handyman for your apartment.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I only started using ChatGPT Work recently, but I can already tell it is going to save me a lot of time. As a project manager, I was surprised by how quickly it helped me organize meeting notes, summarize long documents, draft status updates, and keep project information in one place. The Projects feature has been especially useful because I can keep chats, files, and context together instead of digging through dozens of conversations every day. Another thing I like is that it feels easy to pick up. I didn't have to completely change how I work to start getting value from it. It already feels like having an extra teammate that helps with planning, documentation, and keeping projects moving forward.

Cons

  • I'm still learning what it can do, so I know I'm probably only using a fraction of its capabilities. Sometimes I have to experiment with prompts to get exactly what I want, and I still double-check anything that is going out to stakeholders. I also think it will become even more valuable as I connect it with more of the tools my team already uses.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Instinct feels much closer to an actual personal assistant than a normal chatbot. I can text it like I would a person, hand it something that needs to get done, and let it handle the messy follow-up work. The ability to call businesses is especially useful. Things like restaurant reservations, appointment waitlists, service issues, and other tasks that still require a phone call are exactly the kind of work I want an AI assistant taking off my plate. I also really like that Instinct has its own email address. Letting the agent handle confirmations, account signups, and communication without flooding my personal inbox makes the whole experience feel more autonomous.

Cons

  • The biggest concern is privacy. Instinct needs access to a lot of personal context to be this useful, and early testers have raised questions about its permissions, security model, and terms. It is also still early and access remains limited, so I would not hand it complete control over anything sensitive without keeping a close eye on what it is doing.
