Cross-functional enterprise teams that need an AI work agent to research, build documents, update workflows, automate recurring tasks, and coordinate work across connected apps.

About ChatGPT Work

ChatGPT Work is an agent in ChatGPT that helps users take on more ambitious tasks by taking action across apps and files, staying with a project for hours if needed, and turning a goal into finished work. It can gather information across apps and workflows to create finished materials like sheets, slides, docs, and web apps, breaking complex projects into smaller steps and completing them independently while the user follows progress, answers questions, changes direction, and approves important actions. With Codex technology built in and powered by GPT-5.6, ChatGPT Work moves beyond answering questions to getting real work done across web, mobile, and desktop. Users can ask it to analyze a month-end budget variance, turn source materials into a marketing campaign brief, prepare for a sales meeting, or carry context through an entire workflow from customer research to campaign assets and market adaptations.

    "ChatGPT Work review"

    Posted 2026-07-09

Pros: I only started using ChatGPT Work recently, but I can already tell it is going to save me a lot of time. As a project manager, I was surprised by how quickly it helped me organize meeting notes, summarize long documents, draft status updates, and keep project information in one place. The Projects feature has been especially useful because I can keep chats, files, and context together instead of digging through dozens of conversations every day.

Another thing I like is that it feels easy to pick up. I didn't have to completely change how I work to start getting value from it. It already feels like having an extra teammate that helps with planning, documentation, and keeping projects moving forward.

Cons: I'm still learning what it can do, so I know I'm probably only using a fraction of its capabilities. Sometimes I have to experiment with prompts to get exactly what I want, and I still double-check anything that is going out to stakeholders. I also think it will become even more valuable as I connect it with more of the tools my team already uses.

Overall: Five stars from me. Even as a new user, ChatGPT Work has already made my day-to-day project management feel more organized and less overwhelming. If it keeps improving at this pace, I can see it becoming one of the first tools I open every morning.
