Users create estimates from trade-based line items, apply overhead, profit, and contingency markups, and use regional labor and material cost data adjusted by ZIP code across all 50 U.S. states. Estimates can be delivered as branded PDFs for customer review and approval, then converted into invoices with standard or custom payment schedules. The platform also includes client records and a crew time clock; higher-tier plans add job costing, change orders, AI-assisted photo bidding, and 3D floor plans with takeoff. Contractors can compare projected and actual job costs, record scope changes for customer approval, and track invoices through payment. Pros from Real Users Pros i like the fact you can upload your building plans directly & scale them , measure walls or floors right on your screen to get quick, accurate material counts & then turn a won estimate into a live project calendar & build Gantt charts, generate purchase orders & work orders for your subcontractors Integrates well with other programs. The Support is very good, I get answers within minutes. Well-rounded program, suits me well as a small builder. I can track my jobs in live time, labor hours through the buildxact onsite app are easily tracked to labor costings Extremely time saving, easy to use, basic but detailed enough for building. Great for sending off quotes to clients. Great for ordering with suppliers and for work orders for sub-contractors. Buildxact is user friendly, does everything from quoting, job management, ordering, accounting to timesheets.
