Three Globe is a Three.js class for creating geographic data visualizations on interactive 3D globes. It is intended for developers who want globe visualization functionality directly inside an existing Three.js scene. Geographic information can be rendered through independent layers for points, arcs, polygons, paths, heatmaps, hexagons, tiles, particles, and other objects. The spherical projection makes it suitable for global spatial and network datasets. Developers retain access to the surrounding Three.js scene, camera, lighting, and rendering system. The library forms the lower-level visualization foundation used by related projects such as Globe.GL and can be combined with other Three.js objects and effects.

Features

  • Native Three.js globe object
  • Spherical geographic projection
  • Points, arcs, and polygon layers
  • Heatmap and hexagonal visualization
  • Integration with custom Three.js scenes
  • Composable geographic data layers
