Neo Chat

Neo Chat is a free, open-source, local-first AI workspace designed for conversations, research, automation, and knowledge management. It connects to multiple AI model providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and compatible API services. Users can interact with AI assistants, attach documents, and perform knowledge retrieval through integrated search and retrieval-augmented generation. Its agent mode supports multistep workflows, while Deep Research provides structured research plans and reports. Neo Chat also includes voice interaction, persistent memory, reusable assistant presets, and interactive artifacts. Its extensibility system supports text skills, OpenAPI plugins, and Model Context Protocol servers. Conversations are stored locally by default, with optional encrypted synchronization through WebDAV or S3-compatible services.
