  • Works like a charm — I've been upgrading git all the time using this package and never had the slightest problem. My only issue is that it lags slightly behind the latest & greatest supported git package — it's really a pity it's not kept up-to-date with, say, the Linux version. The download is a bit slow for my tastes, but 'slow' doesn't mean 'several hours' — more like a minute or two as opposed of the few seconds that my available bandwidth ought to allow to retrieve. Again, that's fine for me!
