Ever wanted to get rid of Outlook ? DavMail is a POP/IMAP/SMTP/Caldav/Carddav/LDAP gateway allowing users to use any mail client with Exchange, even from the internet through Outlook Web Access on any platform, tested on MacOSX, Linux and Windows
Warning to KDE users: It's a great utility and a few weeks ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Unfortunately, it no longer works in any OS running KDE 5, which includes Kubuntu 16.04, the latest LTS distribution. No system tray icon = no way to access DavMail settings. Confirmed bug #1448512 is over a year old now and as soon as everyone else still on KDE 4 goes to KDE 5, it's goodnight DavMail. If you're a Kubuntu user and this affects you, please look up this bug on Launchpad (URLs are apparently verboten here) and register yourself as being affected by this bug.
Great project and very unique! I have been able to find anything similar! Great job. It looks like the team is not working on it a lot these days....May be just the holiday. But the program runs just off the installation.
I've been using DavMail for years as a gateway between OWA and my Android smartphone. Except a problem with some events, which I finally solved (see support-requests #232), it works well. Great stuff. Thanks Mickael!
I get a message that there is a new version 4.6.2-2385 but, when I clicked on the link I still see the version is 4.6.2-2377.
Works great for Exchange -> Private VPS -> Gmail -- provided you have an SSL Certificate and Domain. Anyone looking to use a Chromebook or just Gmail in general should look into this.
