MISSY

A single, unencrypted HTML file for reviewing real-time PCR data. Free and open source. Save the file and use it offline; experiment processing occurs locally. Optional offline speech recognition needs a compatible browser and an initial language-pack download.

Research use only. MISSY is not validated. These software checks do not establish diagnostic performance, accreditation or suitability for a laboratory's intended use.

Application baseline: 2026.10.31.demolabels1. Documentation and test update: R2, 31 October 2026. R2 does not change the application, readers, calculations or stored results.

Capabilities

  • Read IXO, EDS, EDT, RDML, ZPCR and PCRD within documented reader constraints, including ZIP intake.
  • Inspect amplification curves and stored threshold-cycle, melting and quantity results where supplied.
  • Review controls and replicates under the laboratory's selected SOP.
  • Explore control charts, drift, outliers and missing same-channel results.
  • Use English or Chinese interfaces, mouse, keyboard and optional voice commands.
  • Practise with two artificial-data demonstrations and a 24-lesson learning game.
  • Export evidence, result reports and learning records with their applicable limitations.

Current checks

The latest uninstrumented attempts pass 24 of 24 suites. One keyboard attempt timed out and passed an isolated retry; both attempts are retained. The repaired ZIP suite uses deterministic artificial containers, and the MARA test checks 32 pinned shipped profiles and synthetic outcomes. These are software regression checks, not laboratory validation. Native vendor archive quirks and successful PCRD decryption remain outside the repaired synthetic ZIP suite.

Historical documentation

Both records predate the current application build. Their historical results are preserved separately from current checks; they are not silently promoted to current validation evidence.

Complete code, evidence and illustrated guide — 1 November 2026

The application remains 2026.10.31.demolabels1. The documentation below adds navigation and illustrations; it does not change readers, calculations or stored results.

The illustrated guide contains 73 actual webpage images: 63 current-build captures and 10 historical captures, identified separately. It includes the 30-lesson guided tour, 69 voice-workflow steps with returned answers, and transcripts for the ten historical audio examples. These are demonstrations with artificial data, not patient or laboratory findings. Report-page images are distinguished from application-interface captures.

The full code/evidence archive separates 11,732 indexed function extracts (6,180 first-party and 5,552 dependency extracts), 164 source files and 154 evidence files. An indexed function extract is a documentation entry, not an independent validation test. See the archive manifests for exact files, hashes, provenance and limitations.

Interpreting the evidence

  • Current software regression checks, historical manual evidence and demonstration artefacts are kept separate.
  • Synthetic ZIP tests do not establish coverage of every native vendor archive or successful encrypted-PCRD decoding.
  • Instrument specifications are references; simulator data does not measure physical hardware performance.
  • MARA method configurations require comparison with the standard text, the laboratory's approved SOP and its own verification or validation before use.
  • Voice answers report available data and configured rules. They do not authorise release or infer contamination or inhibition without an applicable rule.

The online archive is the complete reference while individual SourceForge chapters are being uploaded. A link to that archive does not imply every chapter has already been copied into this wiki.
