This would certainly be possible .. in fact, it would be trivial to implement. I will add this feature to the next Webmin release. - Jamei On Mon, 2005-09-05 at 00:38, Grant Peel wrote: > Hi all, > > I was toying with some custom modules in Webmin this morning and was > thinking it would be nice to have an export Module routine in the "Webmin -> > Modules" module. > > Does anyone have something like this already that perhaps we could pass to > Jamie to have incorporated in the standard distro? > > -Grant > > P.S. Hi Grant, Assuming you find a way to login to the system, I would be interested to see the ipfw config file after the bandwidth monitoring module changed it when turned off. Like you said, there was almost certainly some kind of error updating the rules. - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: "Grant Peel" <gp...@th...> Subj: [webmin-l] Bandwidth Monitoring Module Date: Mon 5 Sep 2005 6:43 am Size: 1K To: <web...@li...> Hi all, I tried setting up the bandwidth monitoring module this morning, thankfully, on a dev box, but when I used the "Turn off monitoring" button I got locked out of the machine. I assume it is IPFW that has ne locked out, but I am left wondering why. The rules that were there were nothing that would lock me out...but one thing, I did have a rule #1 before the bandwidth monitoring session, so I am curious if Webmin creating rule #0 then deleting it ... or deleting rule #1 may have been the culprit. Any ideas? -Grant ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf - Forwarded by the Webmin mailing list at web...@li... Hi all, I was toying with some custom modules in Webmin this morning and was thinking it would be nice to have an export Module routine in the "Webmin -> Modules" module. Does anyone have something like this already that perhaps we could pass to Jamie to have incorporated in the standard distro? -Grant P.S. The clone mod does something similar but lacks the TARing (.wbm ing) functionality. |

It is actually supposed to appear in Webmin, but perhaps is not due to some bug or unexpected output. You should try running the command : sa-learn --spam < xxx at the command line, where xxx is the filename of a spam email. That may show a more useful error message. - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: Nicholas Chua <mon...@gm...> Subj: [webmin-l] spam reporting Date: Sun 4 Sep 2005 5:23 pm Size: 773 bytes To: web...@li... OK .. that is actually possible too. Go to Usermin Configuration -> Access Control Options , and set the 'Root directory for file chooser' to 'User's home directory'. - Jamie On Sat, 2005-09-03 at 17:25, Obantec Support wrote: > Hi Jamie > > I am talking about the Password Protect module in usermin. > > No i mean if i enable password protect then usemin users can use this to see > above their home with the ... directory button. i only want to allow them to > see their home and below as with file manager. > > Mark > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jamie Cameron" <jca...@we...> > To: <web...@li...> > Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2005 8:00 AM > Subject: Re: [webmin-l] chain usermin to home dir > > > > Do you mean adding an extra password in order to access different > > directories in the file manager? Can I make a suggestion first: This /is/ probably an SELinux problem - the default policy is quite sensibly restrictive for a standard web/ftp server, but not for a hosting server. You are probably running into SELinux issues here, and the easiest way to deal with that is to relax the SELinux security, not give up and use a different version. During the install[1] it is possible to select one of three modes for SELinux: enabled, disabled or 'warn me.' You can probably change the mode to 'warn me' after install as well -- check the documentation for how. That way, rather than just denying access, SELinux will log a message about the issue. Then, consider reporting it to the SELinux/FC4 maintainers, since they *will* care about this issue. At the least they will probably improve the documentation. :) Regards, Daniel Footnotes: [1] Possibly only an "advanced" install. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf - Forwarded by the Webmin mailing list at web...@li... You should try clicking on Module Config, and changing the 'Status to display in list' to 'From last scheduled check'. If the current status shows up correctly, that indicates that at least the cron job is running .. If it isn't try running /etc/webmin/status/monitor.pl from the command line, to see if it displays any error message. - Jamie On Sat, 2005-09-03 at 01:57, G. Apologies if this is obvious, but have you checked if scheduled monitoring is actually enabled?
