Kimberly, Support for MariaDB 10.4+ and MySQL 8+ has been implemented in Webmin 1.960 and Virtualmin 6.13. Let us know if it works for you. Yes, you can remove that Perl module. Regarding the slow load time, make sure that you have background status collection enabled in Webmin (it's on by default). It can be configured at Webmin -> Webmin Configuration -> Background Status Collection. On 03/Jul/2020 11:52 Kienker, Fred <fki...@at...> wrote .. So is it safe to remove perl-JSON-PP-2.27202-2.el7.noarch? is it no longer a dependency? Yes, the slowness happens every time you log in the first time. This has been happening over the last several releases. I didnât take the time to investigate and just put up with it. The missing perl modules made me go looking deeper into what was happening. Thatâs when I found the error messages. So is it safe to remove perl-JSON-PP-2.27202-2.el7.noarch? is it no longer a dependency? Yes, the slowness happens every time you log in the first time. This has been happening over the last several releases. I didn’t take the time to investigate and just put up with it. The missing perl modules made me go looking deeper into what was happening. That’s when I found the error messages. Hi there I recently built a new home server out of a Raspberry Pi 4 and 4 external USB 3 hard disks. It's running Ubuntu Server 20.04 64-bit. Naturally, like every Linux server I've built for myself since about the mid-1990s, I put Webmin on it. (I don't build servers very often these days!) I am hugely impressed by how great Webmin looks these days. It works a treat, too. There are 2 things that my little NAS box does that Webmin can't help me with, though, so I thought I'd ask. [1] My main and spare desktops are Macs and I mainly use macOS at home, so I have netatalk on the server and it's also acting as a Time Machine. [2] I am using Ubuntu's ZFS to manage my 4 x 2TB drives as a ZRAID. There seems to be a very old, unfinished Webmin plugin to Netatalk but I have fought shy as it looks elderly and unmaintained. There doesn't seem to be any plugin for ZFS, which I found a little surprising -- it's standard on Ubuntu Server, Solaris and OpenSolaris/Illumos etc., and on FreeBSD. It's not a particularly new or niche tool. :-) Is there any chance of these things being added ever? Thanks for a great tool. -- Liam Proven – Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lp...@ci... – gMail/gTalk/gHangouts: lp...@gm... Hi Dave,This module is part of the webmin core, so the main developer is me.If you want to contribute, that would be great! Please send any changes via github pull requests, so I can comment on them and merge when they look good. On 22/Jun/2020 13:22 Dave Hall <kd...@bi...> wrote .. I'm working with webmin 1.850 and systemd 237 in a Yocto project. Is there a Webmin module that allows for the configuration of the system-networkd service files? Systemd.network files for dhcp vs static settings, etc. Thanks, Joe Fansler |

Webmin should detect the type of network config being used automatically. What is going wrong in Webmin's networking module on your system? On 29/Apr/2020 01:55 Mike Bergmann <mi...@md...> wrote .. I'm trying to 'yum update' my webmin but apparently the repo has changed (probably some time ago since I have not had time to address this problem for a while) because when I run the update I get this error: Could not retrieve mirrorlist https://download.webmin.com/download/yum/mirrorlist error was14: curl#60 - "SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate" I have, what I think, is the latest PGP key installed so I am guessing the problem is with the baseurl. Here is my webmin.repo: [Webmin] name=Webmin Distribution Neutral #baseurl=http://download.webmin.com/download/yum mirrorlist=https://download.webmin.com/download/yum/mirrorlist enabled=1 I have been unable to find a repo that says anything different so I must be only finding obsolete posts. Can someone give me the correct repo? TIA. |
