Hi, Until new release, I will do only minor updates. That is: * Improve translation (Spanish). * Merge duplicated texts (e.g. "Number" and "Number:", to reduce translated lines). Also, if I have a well tested troubleshooting code, I will update it. Hi, Until new release, I will do only minor updates. That is: * Improve translation (Spanish). * Merge duplicated texts (e.g. "Number" and "Number:", to reduce translated lines). Also, if I have a well tested troubleshooting code, I will update it. Hi, When i was fixing SupplierInquiry.php, I had to replace printf() with plain list echo using single-quotes. The reason is that printf() uses % characters as "special" characters (e.g. when the text to print has a ""Includes a 25% discount" character). Also, I replaced printf() with plain list echo using single-quotes in Dashboard.php and SupplierPriceList.php. The results are: less lines, a little less time, and "more readable" code. The last one, is my personal opinion. If all agree, it is better to continue using a plain list echo using single-quotes instead a printf(). Comments ? Best regards, Rafael. |

Hi all: OK for me. I don't remember exactly, but there was the issue of modified PDF standard libraries. Was it already sorted out? Also, we have to fix (or delay the release) for the Assign Cash issue of commit 7605 (it can lead to accounting errors). I would suggest to keep the code beautifully formatted and adding as much comments needed which will be helpful to developers. Generally the practice is to minify the js/css files and generate filename-min.js/filename-min.css, this can be committed along with the original one for every build, Also, there should be an easy way to switch between the non-minified/minified version. Some useful tools to minify: https://github.com/tedious/JShrink https://github.com/mishoo/UglifyJS2 http://yui.github.io/yuicompressor/ http://www.crockford.com/javascript/jsmin.html There are many more... On a production server these optimizations can be used: Enabling gzip compression on the webserver(Apache/nginx) etc will reduce the overall download size for all files: js, css, html etc. http://howtounix.info/howto/Apache-gzip-compression-with-mod_deflate Configure the pagespeed module (by Google) https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/module/ Compression results from the JShrink doc: Raw - 586,990 Gzip - 151,301 JShrink - 371,982 JShrink and Gzip - 93,507 hope this info is useful. Hi, Recently, I updated the file MiscFunctions.js. I added comments and improve the format. Now it is more easy to understand the code. But it has a big disadvantage: Each html page generated by the webERP loads that file through ~/includes/header.inc. That is: if we add comments and reformat the code to make it very easy to understand, we increase the traffic of that file to about 239% (more comments and spaces in formatting code). Someone say me that he prefers a minimum file size to prioritise the principle "low footprint" (absolutely minimal network traffic) over to "easily readable", because this file is modified infrequently. There are several problems with PO_PDFPurchOrder.php script. 1) When we create a purchase order, order detail lines are sorted by itemcode. This creates problems when ordering non-inventory items. Additionally the order of printing does not match the order of entry. For non-inventory items (no itemcode), the order of detail items is random (undefined). We have several very lengthy PO's for which every item/service is one time purchase abd the order of items on the Purchase order needs to match vendor quote as closely as possible. 2) There is always one to many lines in the detail printout per page. We have made the following changes to PO_PDFPurchOrder.php: Around line 223 replace itemcode to podetailitem: WHERE orderno ='" . $OrderNo . "' ORDER BY podetailitem"; /*- ADDED: Sort by our item code -*/ Around line 275: if ($YPos - 2*$line_height <= $Bottom_Margin) { Around line 292: if ($YPos - 2*$line_height <= $Bottom_Margin) { Our default paper size is Letter. We hope that these changes could be incorporated into the trunk. *Hi, Richard,* Thank you for review the script. I've overlook the multiple currency situation. The scenario for this is that sometime manager has no time to assign money to members under him. So he assigned all of those money to a clerk and then the clerk allocate the money to other members. I'll find sometime to check the multiple currency issue later. My notebook just be recovered from network card problem, sorry for the late reply. Thanks and best regards! Hi Exson: Sorry for the delay, but just today I checked this new script and I think it has a major issue (that can lead to accounting errors): it is not multicurrency-coded. It allows to transfer amounts from any currency tab to ant other, without the proper exchange rates. We could move 1.000.000 IDR into 1.000.000 USD, which would be nice but it's not correct. Probably restricting the "Tab To" drop down list to the tabs with the same currency as the "from" would do the trick, as we probably don't want employees to run their own exchange-currency side-business. Also, could you please let us know which is the situation where this script is used? If company assigns X money to user A and Y money to user B, is it ok for user A to send money to user B? Why not company assigning less to A and more to B? Or is there any situation I'm missing?
